Price Trends: Pokémon Cards Dropping in Price - 05/13/2026

We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Pokémon cards that have dramatically decreased in Market Price in the past 30 days. We hope this report will complement our report on Pokémon price increases to give you a more well-rounded view of the market.

(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least ten sales between April 12 and May 11, 2026.)

Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that lost the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $30 or less.

Top 5 Price Decreases—PKMN Cards $30 or Less

#5 Rosa's Encouragement - 114/088

  • Set: Perfect Order
  • Decrease: -$4.30
  • Current Market Price: $8.55

The Pokémon market has been on fire in the past month, even by the standards of the 2020s. But bull markets have losers too.

Aside from SIR Meowth ex, most Perfect Order cards have dropped in price in the past month as more product has been opened. That includes this Ultra Rare version of Rosa’s Encouragement, but also the Special Illustration Rare version, and second-tier chase Pokémon like SIR Mega Starmie ex. Singles generally drop during the first few months of a set’s release, so it’s not surprising that Perfect Order has followed this trend.

#4 Boss's Orders [Corbeau] - 256/217

  • Set: Ascended Heroes
  • Decrease: -$4.93
  • Current Market Price: $9.64

While Ascended Heroes’ top chase cards were reaching new heights, its mid-rarity Trainer cards were taking a dive. The Ultra Rare versions of Bosses Orders, Canari, Anthea & Concordia, and Black Belt’s Training have all dropped consistently since release, and even Special Illustration Rare Trainers like Canari and Iris’s Fighting Spirit have been flat. Collectors have voiced their clear preference for Pokémon over Trainers, particularly those from recent games like Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

#3 Poke Pad - 113/088

  • Set: Perfect Order
  • Decrease: -$7.42
  • Current Market Price: $15.46

Similar to Rosa’s Encouragement, Poké Pad has dropped due to the influx of supply. Thousands of copies have sold in the past three months, indicating that demand remains strong, but Ultra Rares in Perfect Order are so relatively common that it’s led to a buyer’s market.

#2 Team Rocket's Nidoking ex - 119/182

  • Set: Prize Pack Series Cards
  • Decrease: -$9.36
  • Current Market Price: $13.14

We also saw a dip in cards from Play! Pokémon Prize Pack Series Eight as more of those cards entered circulation. It doesn’t help that Team Rocket’s Nidoking ex isn’t even seeing play in Team Rocket’s Pokémon decks.

#1 Team Rocket's Crobat ex - 122/182

  • Set: Prize Pack Series Cards
  • Decrease: -$9.99
  • Current Market Price: $14.42

Team Rocket’s Crobat ex fared no better than Team Rocket’s Nidoking ex.

Next, these are the five cards that lost the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $30.

Top 5 Price Decreases—PKMN Cards Over $30

#5 M Charizard EX (X)

  • Set: Flashfire
  • Decrease: -$25.96
  • Current Market Price: $268.12

Many of the cards that lost the most this month were just experiencing minor corrections after historic gains.

The non-Secret Rare version of M Charizard EX (X) had an incredible run in 2025, going from $120 at the start of the year to over $300 by the end. It’s since started to waver, with several sales below that all-time high, but the sub-$300 listings keep disappearing almost as fast as they go up.

#4 Mega Charizard X ex - 125/094

  • Set: Phantasmal Flames
  • Decrease: -$34.55
  • Current Market Price: $787.96

The ultimate chase card of Phantasmal Flames has had a tumultuous month, with sales in May alone ranging between $625 and over $1000. Right now there’s too much noise to tell where this is going in the immediate future.

#3 Gengar EX (114 Full Art)

  • Set: Phantom Forces
  • Decrease: -$67.33
  • Current Market Price: $719.55

After growing 400% over 15 months, this Gengar saw its first slight dip since 2024 due to an anomalous sale for $265. Unless there are more anomalies like that, it looks poised to keep growing—all the Near Mint listings without photos at time of writing are for over $800.

#2 Magikarp & Wailord GX (Alternate Full Art)

  • Set: Team Up
  • Decrease: -$113.30
  • Current Market Price: $863.43

Magikarp & Wailord-GX had its own anomalous sale of $450 on May 4 (followed by a sale of over $1000). That caused a dip in its Market Price, but given that the only Near Mint non-photo listing at time of writing is for $950, the dip may not last long.

#1 Umbreon ex - 161/131

  • Set: Prismatic Evolutions
  • Decrease: -$130.46
  • Current Market Price: $1,371.06

Sunbreon spiked from $850 to $1,500 between February 1 and early April, an incredible 80% gain on a card that’s just over a year old. Since then, it has corrected down about 8%, with a small handful of listings below Market Price.
