Duplicate Inventory Entries
Status: 🟠Identified – We've identified the cause and are working on a resolution.
Incident Opened: September 28, 2026
Last Updated: October 6, 2026 at 9:21am ET
Issue: Duplicate inventory entries are appearing when uploading list imports.
Affected Users: Sellers uploading inventory using list imports (Quicklist, Apple App, etc.). Please note, this incident may have impacted your inventory prior to 9/28/26.
Latest Update: We are reviewing seller escalations and investigating each report.
Recommended Action: We are continuing to investigate this issue and work toward a resolution. In the meantime, sellers may continue to experience duplicate inventory entries. The steps below may help reduce the likelihood of encountering the issue, but they are not a complete workaround.
When uploading inventory:
- Use only one browser tab or window when uploading inventory.
- Click Move to Live once and allow the process to finish. Do not refresh, navigate back, retry, or start another upload while it is processing.
- If an upload times out or displays an error, check your staged and live inventory before trying again.
- Avoid re-uploading the same file if the first upload appears to be processing slowly.
- If multiple employees manage inventory, coordinate so only one person updates the same list at a time.
- Keep your original upload file and note the approximate time of the upload.
If you see duplicate inventory:
- Stop retrying or re-uploading the affected list.
- Compare your live inventory quantity with the physical quantity you have available.
- If you are certain of the correct quantity, use the normal inventory editing process once to update it. Do not repeatedly subtract the suspected duplicate quantity.
- For multiple affected SKUs, Managed Inventory, or if you are unsure of the correct quantity, contact us before making bulk corrections.
- If an affected Marketplace order cannot be fulfilled: Follow the standard cancellation process and contact us for assistance with any resulting fees or buyer feedback.
- If an affected Direct Reimbursement Invoice (RI) cannot be fulfilled: Note any missing items on your packing slip and message TCGplayer directly through the affected RI using the Message TCGplayer button. Include the RI number and identify any discrepancies related to the duplicate inventory issue. We’ll reimburse fees associated with impacted missing items, and missing items resulting from this issue will not negatively impact your Direct performance.
- If you need help processing refunds, please contact us.
When contacting us using the blue chat icon with three dots in the lower-right corner, please provide your seller name or ID, approximate upload date and time, original filename, affected SKUs, expected and displayed quantities, and any relevant error messages or screenshots.
