Wizards of the Coast and TCGplayer Bring the Magic: The Gathering Community Together for One-of-a-Kind Charity Tournament

Livestream tournament and eBay Live auction will bring the Magic community together to benefit MagiKids and Extra Life, with fans able to bid on rare collectibles and one-of-a-kind original Magic artwork

SAN JOSE, Calif. – August 31, 2026 – Wizards of the Coast and TCGplayer announced today a first-of-its-kind competitive-play Magic: The Gathering charity tournament. This event will bring together some of Magic's most recognizable players alongside their colleagues from Wizards of the Coast and TCGplayer for a day of competition, exclusive auctions, and community programming to raise funds for MagiKids and Extra Life in support of the next generation of players.

The event will take place on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 10AM PT/ 1PM ET, at Wizards of the Coast headquarters in Renton, Washington. Fans can watch the livestream across Magic's Twitch and Instagram channels and TCGplayer's YouTube channel while participating in an interactive charity auction on eBay Live.

Among the items up for bid will be a one-of-one original artwork, by Tyler Jacobson, featured in the Ajani Resolute and Ajani Unrelenting Planeswalker cards from Reality Fracture alongside other exclusive collectibles, artist-signed memorabilia and one-of-a-kind Magic items contributed by Wizards of the Coast, TCGplayer and eBay.

The lineup of players for the event include Magic Hall of Famers Reid Duke and Luis Scott-Vargas alongside accomplished Wizards of the Coast former professional Magic players, with additional participants and event details available on the event landing page.

As part of the event, TCGplayer and Wizards of the Coast will each contribute $25,000 to their respective charity partners, while proceeds from the eBay Live auction will be split evenly between MagiKids and Extra Life.
