TCGplayer Expands Australian Access to U.S. Trading Card Game Marketplace

Australian players and collectors will have a new way to purchase in-demand trading cards

SAN JOSE, Calif. – October 7, 2026 – TCGplayer, a trusted marketplace for trading card games, has expanded access to their U.S marketplace for Australian customers, supporting better selection of coveted trading cards from some of the most popular global games, including Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Australian buyers can start shopping on TCGplayer beginning October 7, coinciding with PAX Australia, the country’s largest annual gaming and fandom event. Attendees can participate in pack battles in the TCGplayer section of eBay’s booth and use the TCGplayer mobile app’s scanning feature to discover card pricing and marketplace information.

While Australian gaming enthusiasts have been able to use TCGplayer’s digital pricing tools for years, access to the U.S. marketplace makes it easier to find in-demand cards, build decks and collections, and participate in the broader global trading card community.

Market research from Circana shows that Strategic Trading Card Games were the largest dollar and unit gaining sector in the Australian Puzzles & Games market in the first half of 2026. Meanwhile, TCGplayer’s unique app users in Australia increased more than 50% since February 2026.

“Trading card games are powered by passionate communities around the world, and at TCGplayer we’re on a quest to make it easier for players to build their collections and participate in the hobby with confidence,” said Josh Price, Senior Vice President of Marketing at TCGplayer. “Expanding marketplace access in Australia strengthens connections across the global trading card community, supporting players and collectors to find exactly the cards they’re looking for, so they can do more of what they love.”

At launch, eligible Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Yu-Gi-Oh! singles will be available through TCGplayer Direct with tracked international shipping, while package forwarding through MyUS will provide access to additional inventory across the U.S. marketplace.

Through TCGplayer Direct, buyers can shop eligible cards from U.S. sellers with orders going through TCGplayer’s fulfillment process for card accuracy and condition before shipping. TCGplayer Direct orders can be consolidated into fewer packages and include tracking, TCGplayer customer support, and applicable buyer protection through the TCGplayer Safeguard. For eligible Direct orders, applicable Australian GST is collected at checkout.

Australian buyers can access the full selection of U.S marketplace inventory through MyUS, including singles, sealed products, and games beyond those available through TCGplayer Direct. MyUS is a package-forwarding service that provides buyers with a U.S. shipping address for purchases, then consolidates and forwards those packages to Australia.

Purchases shipped through MyUS are covered by the TCGplayer Safeguard for the domestic leg of the shipment. Additional details on protections with MyUS are available here.
