Top Selling Sealed Product Right Now — 05/06/2025
By Peter Day •
Choosing which sealed products to invest in is an important decision for your business. The right products can yield big returns for your business in just a few transactions, but the wrong products can be a serious burden on your cash flow.
To help you pick the right products more often, we compiled a report of the top selling sealed products on TCGplayer last month. This report will show you which sets are most popular with players and collectors right now, so you can anticipate which products will be easy to sell online.
The report lists the top 100 sealed TCG products by total GMV between April 1 and 30, 2025. Below, we’ve highlighted five of those products. These products were chosen by starting from the top of the overall list and going down, taking the top product of each game that hadn’t been highlighted yet. The five products are ordered below according to their overall rank in the full report.
#1 Tarkir: Dragonstorm - Collector Booster Display
Game: Magic: The Gathering.
Set: Tarkir: Dragonstorm.
Released: April 11, 2025.
Average Product Value: $295.64.
Compared to the muted reception for Aetherdrift, the fan response to Tarkir: Dragonstorm has been much more enthusiastic. Older and more enfranchised players who remember the beloved Khans of Tarkir block 10 years ago are thrilled to see so many homages to classic characters and cards like Siege Rhinos. But newer and more casual fans aren’t complaining either—they’re getting a whole Magic set focused on Dragons, full of splashy Commander bombs like Dracogenesis.
Sales of Collector Booster Displays have overtaken sales of Play Booster Displays, which were elevated last month due to the Treasure Trove promotion on March 27, when a seller listed displays for $102.99.
#2 Destined Rivals Booster Box
Game: Pokémon TCG.
Set: Destined Rivals.
Released: May 30, 2025.Average Product Value: $292.29.
Pokémon fans’ interest in Journey Together dropped off precipitously in April. That reflects both a general cooling in the Pokémon market now that the wave of Pocket-driven card mania has crested, and the middling reception the set has earned by having better pull rates and fewer obvious chase cards than Surging Sparks and Prismatic Evolutions.
Instead, collectors turned their attention to Destined Rivals, and started buying boxes two months ahead of the set’s release at high rates and astronomical prices. Destined Rivals will continue the parade of Trainer’s Pokémon cards that started with Journey Together, but fans are more excited than they were for Journey Together because we’re going to be getting English versions of the Team Rocket’s Pokémon cards that debuted in Japan’s The Glory of Team Rocket. These are obviously attractive to more casual fans who are nostalgic for Gen I and II, but they’re extra appealing to fans with fond memories of the Dark Pokémon and Rocket’s Pokémon cards from the early years of the TCG.
Destined Rivals will be a larger set than Journey Together, as it’ll also include cards from the Japanese set Heat Wave Arena. That larger size will likely lower the odds of pulling any specific card, making the chase cards even rarer and helping them hold their value—which has resellers just as excited as fans. It remains to be seen whether any other 2025 Pokémon set will reignite the fervor we saw around the release of Prismatic Evolutions, but for now, interested parties are pinning their hopes on Destined Rivals.
#3 Quarter Century Stampede Booster Box
Game: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Set: Quarter Century Stampede
Released: April 11, 2025.
Average Product Value: $111.30.
Much like Quarter Century Bonanza and the two 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection sets, Quarter Century Stampede has been a smash hit with every segment of the Yu-Gi-Oh fanbase. Following in the tradition of those sets, QCS contains a pile of reprints in up to seven different rarities. These reprints have made the lowest-rarity versions of competitive staples like Mulcharmy Fuwalos and Fiendsmith Engraver much more affordable for players, and given collectors new Quarter Century Secret Rare versions to chase—which they’re willing to do thanks to Konami’s promise to never reprint a card that has a QCSR printing at that rarity again.
The last set containing QCSR cards (Alliance Insight) released on May 2, so we’ll have to see which rarities Konami will need to invent or bring back to match the level of success these and other 25th Anniversary Celebration sets have had.
#4 Royal Blood Booster Box
Game: One Piece Card Game.
Set: Royal Blood
Released: March 21, 2025.
Average Product Value: $98.67.
One Piece continues to put boxes into the monthly list of top-selling sealed products. In April, that box was for the most recent set, Royal Blood, which feels like a return to normalcy after the tidal wave of Manga Rare cards in Emperors in the New World. By contrast, Royal Blood doesn’t look as desirable for collectors and players don’t expect it to have much impact on the format, so it “only” contains three cards over $100 (including the $400 Trafalgar Law Manga Rare). That lack of hype might explain why Royal Blood Booster Boxes fell as low as $90 in mid-April—though they’ve since trended up a few dollars.
#5 Glory of Team Rocket Booster Box
Game: Pokémon Japan.
Set: The Glory of Team Rocket.
Released: April 18, 2025.
Average Product Value: $158.38.
As expected, The Glory of Team Rocket has usurped both Battle Partners and Heat Wave Arena to become the bestselling Japanese Pokémon booster box of the month. Pokémon fans in Japan are just as nostalgic for cartoony crimes and matching uniforms as they are in the U.S., which has pushed the price of Team Rocket boxes more than 60% higher than the boxes of those previous sets. Yet another reason to be bullish on Destined Rivals.
