Top Selling Sealed Product Right Now — 02/05/2025
By Peter Day •
Choosing which sealed products to invest in is an important decision for your business. The right products can yield big returns for your business in just a few transactions, but the wrong products can be a serious burden on your cash flow.
To help you pick the right products more often, we compiled a report of the top selling sealed products on TCGplayer last month. This report will show you which sets are most popular with players and collectors right now, so you can anticipate which products will be easy to sell online.
The report lists the top 100 sealed TCG products by total GMV between January 1 and 31, 2025. Below, we’ve highlighted five of those products. These products were chosen by starting from the top of the overall list and going down, taking the top product of each game that hadn’t been highlighted yet. The five products are ordered below according to their overall rank in the full report.
#1 Prismatic Evolutions Elite Trainer Box
Game: Pokémon TCG.
Set: Prismatic Evolutions.
Released: January 17, 2025.
Average Product Value: $120.42.
It wouldn’t be fair to say that Prismatic Evolutions is a bigger Pokémon set than 151 was, but its release has been more… eventful.
Like its Japanese counterpart Terastal Festival ex, Prismatic Evolutions combines the appeal of a traditional reprint-heavy special set with the tantalizing prospect of collecting high-rarity versions of every single Eeveelution (plus Eevee itself). That pitch—basically Crown Zenith meets Evolving Skies—together with a sudden influx of new collectors brought in by Pokémon TCG Pocket, has resulted in massive product shortages and runaway prices. At this point in 151’s lifespan, Elite Trainer Boxes were selling for under $60. Prismatic Evolutions ETBs are going for twice that much. The scale of the demand rivals what we saw during the height of the collectibles boom in 2021.
The Pokémon Company International has promised that another wave of Prismatic Evolutions products is on the way, and all-new products for the set are slated to trickle out through September. Expect everyone in the TCG industry to be talking about Prismatic Evolutions all year. If this doesn’t turn out to be the biggest Pokémon set of 2025, it’ll mean something truly momentous happened between now and December.
#2 Innistrad Remastered Play Booster Display
Game: Magic: The Gathering.
Set: Innistrad Remastered.
Released: January 24, 2025.
Average Product Value: $162.43.
Magic also got a new set this month, though you could almost be forgiven for not noticing. Innistrad Remastered is the fourth “remastered” paper Magic set, and includes reprints from every set featuring MTG’s popular gothic horror setting.
Aside from the serialized Edgar Markov, the cards from Innistrad Remastered are all $40 or lower at time of writing. Wizards of the Coast isn’t lingering on this set, as Aetherdrift will be releasing on February 14th, just three weeks after Innistrad Remastered.
#3 Terastal Fest ex Booster Box
Game: Pokémon Japan.
Set: Terastal Fest ex.
Released: December 6, 2024.
Average Product Value: $91.34.
The hype for Prismatic Evolutions has looped back around to its Japanese counterpart Terastal Festival. The set was already selling well in December, but with English product being next to impossible to find at MSRP, collectors have started chasing the Japanese set instead for their chance to open a Terastal Eeveelution.
As a result, boxes of Terastal Festival have risen even higher than they were in December. Sparkly Eevees are scarce no matter which side of the International Date Line you’re on.
#4 Emperors in the New World Booster Box
Game: One Piece Card Game.
Set: Emperors in the New World.
Released: December 13, 2024.
Average Product Value: $126.66.
Even without a new release this month, the One Piece Card Game has continued to earn a spot among the top-selling sealed TCG products.
Emperors in the New World leans even harder into the alternate-art treatments that have made previous One Piece sets so beloved by collectors and valuable for retailers, with 4 Manga Rare cards instead of the usual 1, and the first-ever Gold Manga Rare card for the most influential character in the One Piece universe.
At time of writing, a staggering nine cards from this set have a Market Price over $100 (one more than last month), and one of them has broken $3k. Fans know these boxes hold treasure inside, and they’re willing to pay what it takes to claim their share of the loot.
#5 Supreme Darkness Booster Box
Game: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Set: Supreme Darkness.
Released: January 24, 2025.
Average Product Value: $68.47.
Rounding out our list we have Yu-Gi-Oh’s January release. Supreme Darkness adds tons of new support for many archetypes, as well as a new archetype with competitive hype (Mitsurugi), a new generic Link Monster (A Bao A Qu, the Lightless Shadow), and a new Mulcharmy to go with the other adorable handtraps of that name. It’s a solid set, even if it doesn’t reach the heights of last year’s The Infinite Forbidden in terms of prices or competitive impact.
