Top Selling Pokémon Cards on TCGplayer: March 2026

The first step to serving customer demand is to understand it. So to help you follow what’s currently popular with players and collectors, we’ve put together a pair of downloadable CSV reports of the top-selling Pokémon cards of the past month.

These reports show the name and set of the Pokémon cards with the highest total number of copies sold on the TCGplayer Marketplace between March 1 and 29, 2026. The reports consider cards from different sets to be distinct (even if they have the same name), but do not distinguish copies sold by condition (Near Mint, Lightly Played, etc.) or by printing (Foil, etc.).

The two reports cover cards that had an average sale price in March within two ranges: $50.00 or more, and $1.00 to $49.99.

Here are five highlights from each report.

Top Selling Pokémon Cards: $50 or More

#1 Charmander - 044
Set: SV: Scarlet & Violet Promo Cards
Average Sale Price: $53.34

This promo card of Charmander staring daggers at the Pidgey outside its window just recently passed the $50 threshold to appear in this report. Besides being adorable, it completes a trio of cards with the Squirtle and Bulbasaur Illustration Rares in Stellar Crown that also reached all-time highs in March.

Their growth could just be a natural effect of them aging—Gen I Pokémon do that—or it might be related to all three cards rotating out of Standard, and thus out of contention for any future reprints.

#2 Charizard VSTAR - SWSH262
Set: SWSH: Sword & Shield Promo Cards
Average Sale Price: $58.69

A buyout targeting this card on March 5 spiked the average number of copies per buyer to 14.6, and the Market Price to $70. The art on this Charizard VSTAR mirrors the art on the Mewtwo VSTAR from the Crown Zenith Galarian Gallery, so they’re both reasonable targets for speculation.

#3 Mew ex - 053
Set: Scarlet & Violet Promo Cards
Average Sale Price: $57.67

This promo card, originally distributed in the 151 Ultra-Premium Collection, was the target of buyouts throughout 2025. Sales have been relatively quiet in 2026, but all those earlier buyouts seem to have done their work: this card’s price has grown as it’s come closer and closer to rotating out of Standard.

#4 Mega Gengar ex - 269/217
Set: Ascended Heroes
Average Sale Price: $62.77

Gengar cards have been making headlines for months, and they only got more attention once SIR Mega Gengar ex became the newest four-figure Pokémon card currently in print. It’s hard to tell what’s cause and what’s effect, but Gengar fever has spread to cards that wouldn’t normally be considered chases, like this Ultra Rare version of Mega Gengar ex.

#5 Psyduck - 226/217
Set: Ascended Heroes
Average Sale Price: $66.44

Psyduck’s Damp Ability shuts down the Abilities of Pokémon like Dusclops and Dusknoir, both of which will be even more common after rotation when Dragapult assumes the mantle of best deck in format. This Illustration Rare is the highest-rarity version of Psyduck available, and it’s super cute to boot, so players and collectors alike have been seeking it out.

Top Selling Pokémon Cards: $1.00 to $49.99

#1 Poké Pad
Set: Ascended Heroes
Average Sale Price: $5.17

Poké Pad is the most important new card from Ascended Heroes for players, especially as players prepare for Standard to rotate on April 10. With ASC sealed product scarce, this Common has become way more valuable than its printed rarity would suggest.

#2 N's Zekrom - 031
Set: ME: Mega Evolution Promo
Average Sale Price: $6.83

The average number of copies of this promo per buyer has hovered between 2.0 and 4.0 nearly every day since it appeared on the marketplace. Most likely, the demand comes from players who want the fanciest version of the card they can get for their post-rotation N’s Zoroark decks. But there’s a chance that speculators are hoping to corner the market on this promo since the Ascended Heroes ETBs they come in are so hard to find.

#3 Mega Gengar ex
Set: Phantasmal Flames
Average Sale Price: $2.46

Gengar fever has also touched the Double Rare Mega Gengar ex from Phantasmal Flames. If there’s any way to make this card competitive, fans will find it. If not… they’ll probably still want it.

#4 Hilda
Set: White Flare
Average Sale Price: $1.39

Most months, this entire report is exclusively populated by cards like Hilda: generically powerful Trainer cards that haven’t been reprinted in many sets and are able to stay over $1. Players need playsets, so they sell quickly.

#5 Mega Charizard X ex - 013/094
Set: Phantasmal Flames
Average Sale Price: $3.95

The base-rarity version of Mega Charizard X ex is also high on fans' wishlists simply by virtue of being a Mega Charizard card.
