Top Selling Magic: The Gathering Sets Right Now – 06/04/2026
By Jason Coles •
Deciding how much capital to invest in each new TCG set is one of the hardest decisions that comes with running a game store. We want to make that decision easier, so we’ve compiled a report of the bestselling Magic: The Gathering sets this month. This report will show you which Magic sets are still in high demand months or years after their release, so you can better anticipate what the demand will be for upcoming sets.
The report lists the top 100 Magic: The Gathering sets, ranked by the total GMV of all sales (sealed and singles) on the TCGplayer Marketplace between May 4 and June 3, 2026. As a quick preview, here are the ten sets at the very top of the list:
Top 10 Bestselling Magic: The Gathering Sets
#10 Marvel’s Spider-Man
Released: September 26, 2025.
To be frank, this feels like an entry that’s come out of nowhere. The set didn’t perform especially well, nor did it have that much impact on competitive formats. However, it’s likely we see cards from this set continue to sell well as Marvel’s Super Heroes approaches, due to the inter-set synergies.
#9 Commander: The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth
Released: June 23, 2023.
As the previous best-selling set, before Final Fantasy came along and broke every record going, The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-Earth still has plenty of pull. The Commander Decks alongside some cheap Commander staples are all helping to keep this one in the top ten.
#8 Lorwyn Eclipsed
Released: January 23, 2026.
Despite being a deeply nostalgic set, not many of the cards from Lorywn Eclipsed actually had a massive impact on any given format. It’s still a haven for all manner of kindred decks in Commander though, and the two Commander Decks are selling well, alongside the Collector Booster Display boxes and the Play Booster Display boxes.
#7 Commander: Final Fantasy
Released: June 13, 2025.
Final Fantasy is probably going to be in these lists for a long while to come, as it sold better than anybody could have predicted. While the Commander Decks themselves are undoubtedly fantastic, a few of the unique legendary creatures have really hit their stride recently, with Y’shtola, Night’s Blessed actually breaking into the top 3 most played Commanders recently.
#6 Edge of Eternities
Released: August 1, 2025.
Edge of Eternities has predictably fallen since its release in August, but it’s still well ahead of other non-Universes Beyond sets from 2025 like Tarkir: Dragonstorm and Aetherdrift. As usual, Play and Collector Booster Displays are responsible for the most GMV. Top-selling singles include Commander staples Icetill Explorer and Quantum Riddler, with Ouroboroid joining them thanks to its role in the Simic Rhythm deck in Standard.
#5 Avatar: The Last Airbender
Released: November 21, 2025.
Unlike the negative reception to Spider-Man and TMNT, Magic and ATLA fans were positive about Avatar: The Last Airbender, which generated a lot of buzz on release, and has proven to be a bit of a powerhouse for both competitive and casual play.
While playables like Badgermole Cub have made a good showing, by far the best-selling products from the set are the booster boxes themselves. Fans are just eager to play and collect Avatar.
#4 Commander Masters
Released: August 4, 2023.
We’re approaching the third anniversary of this set, and it turns out people still want in on it. We’ve not had a Masters set in some time now, but the hunger for them doesn’t seem to have abated, with both the Draft Booster Boxes and the Collector Booster Boxes selling very well, along with a handful of Commander staples.
#3 Commander: Secrets of Strixhaven
Released: April 24, 2026.
Currently the most recent set, it’s not a big shock to see the Commander decks from Secrets of Strixhaven still doing well. We got five decks in total, each of which having two very interesting new Commander options alongside some much-needed reprints. Despite having the least in-set support, the Silverquill Influence deck has been pulling in the most cash.
#2 Marvel Super Heroes
Released: June 26, 2026.
While we’re still in the run-up to the set, Marvel Super Heroes already looks to be selling well. While Spider-Man was a bit of a mixed bag, it’s possible that the wider scope here leads to greater returns. As ever, most of the sales so far have been the Play Booster Display boxes and Collector Booster Display boxes, but more cards will emerge as more get previewed.
#1 Final Fantasy
Released: June 13, 2025.
FINAL FANTASY was the bestselling Magic: The Gathering set of all time before it even released. Sets don’t achieve that level of success without serious buy-in from collectors and speculators, and those show no sign of stopping just yet.
FINAL FANTASY is still the best-selling set in Magic: The Gathering’s long history, and the demand for Play and Collector Boxes remains strong. Vivi Ornitier has been knocked down a peg from its position as the bestselling single from the set after its ban from Standard, and Commander staple Buster Sword has taken that spot.
