Top Selling Magic: The Gathering Sets Right Now – 03/11/2026

Deciding how much capital to invest in each new TCG set is one of the hardest decisions that comes with running a game store. We want to make that decision easier, so we’ve compiled a report of the bestselling Magic: The Gathering sets this month. This report will show you which Magic sets are still in high demand months or years after their release, so you can better anticipate what the demand will be for upcoming sets.

The report lists the top 100 Magic: The Gathering sets, ranked by the total GMV of all sales (sealed and singles) on the TCGplayer Marketplace between February 4 and March 5, 2026. As a quick preview, here are the ten sets at the very top of the list:

Top 10 Bestselling Magic: The Gathering Sets

#10 Commander: FINAL FANTASY

Released: June 13, 2025.

FINAL FANTASY was the bestselling Magic: The Gathering set of all time before it even released. Sets don’t achieve that level of success without serious buy-in from collectors and speculators, and those buyers are still purchasing products from FINAL FANTASY’s Commander subset where they can.

Most of those sales are for Deck Displays and the non-fancy versions of the FINAL FANTASY Commander decks, now that the Collector’s Edition versions command a premium of 2x or more. On the singles side, the Chocobo Track Foil cards from the holiday Chocobo Bundle are all selling well, but the top cards are the two borderless versions of Y’shtola, Night’s Blessed, which each rival or exceed the GMV from individual FINAL FANTASY Commander decks.

#9 Edge of Eternities

Released: August 1, 2025.

Edge of Eternities has predictably fallen since its release in August, but it’s still well ahead of other non-Universes Beyond sets from 2025 like Tarkir: Dragonstorm and Aetherdrift. As usual, Play and Collector Booster Displays are responsible for the most GMV. Top-selling singles include Commander staples Icetill Explorer and Quantum Riddler, with Ouroboroid joining them thanks to its role in the Simic Rhythm deck in Standard.

#8 Universes Beyond: The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth

Released: June 23, 2023.

LOTR broke back into the Top 10 this month with its super-consistent sales. Set Booster Boxes (remember those?) and Collector Booster Displays led the way, with copies of The One Ring naturally outselling every other single.

This was the bestselling Magic set of all time when it released in 2023, and while it has since lost that title to FINAL FANTASY, it’s still putting up impressive numbers.

#7 Commander Masters

Released: August 4, 2023.

Commander Masters has ranked well once again thanks to the enduring popularity of the Commander format. The set contains reprints of over 400 format staples, and most of those reprints are now the cheapest printings of their respective cards. If Wizards of the Coast ever reprints those cards again, we can expect the current interest in Commander Masters to transfer to the new set.

#6 Modern Horizons 3

Released: June 14, 2024.

Modern Horizons 3 completely redefined the format when it released two years ago. Several rounds of bans later, it’s still the only source of many of the most-played cards in Modern like Consign to Memory and Wrath of the Skies, as well as the most affordable copies of the enemy fetch lands, and Commander staples like Ashling, Flame Dancer and Warren Soultrader.

Until these cards get reprinted, expect MH3 to continue ranking among the top 10 bestselling Magic sets.

#5 Avatar: The Last Airbender

Released: November 21, 2025.

Unlike the negative reception to Spider-Man and TMNT, Magic and ATLA fans were positive about Avatar: The Last Airbender, which (at least anecdotally) activated scores of new and returning MTG fans with its IP.

While playables like Badgermole Cub have made a good showing, by far the bestselling products from the set are the booster boxes themselves. Fans are just eager to play and collect Avatar.

#4 FINAL FANTASY

Released: June 13, 2025.

FINAL FANTASY is still the bestselling set in Magic: The Gathering’s long history, and the demand for Play and Collector Boxes remains strong. Vivi Ornitier has been knocked down a peg from its position as the bestselling single from the set after its ban from Standard, and Commander staple Buster Sword has taken that spot.

#3 Lorwyn Eclipsed

Released: January 23, 2026.

January’s set had slid down a few places in February, but it’s still in the top three sets that Magic players are spending money on right now. Collector and Play Booster Displays were naturally the top items in terms of GMV, while Hexing Squelcher’s two variants outsold the set’s other singles. Some magicians really hate countermagic.

#2 Secret Lair Drop Series

Released: December 2, 2019 - Present.

Like Special Guests, the list of Secret Lair cards grows longer with each passing year, so we can expect at least some of them to sell well every month.

Right now, the top-selling Secret Lair products are the Secret Lair x Ghost of Tsushima and Secret Lair x Brain Dead: Staples - Rainbow Foil Edition boxes, with Mox Opal (Retro Foil) (Foil Etched) and Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima topping the bestselling singles.

#1 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Released: March 6, 2026.

This set’s reputation is in the sewer, but the turtles don’t mind. That’s where they live.

Despite all the negative feedback and prerelease issues, TMNT still managed to outsell every other Magic set in this report on the strength of presales alone. (The set released the day after the period of time covered in this report.) Collector Booster Displays narrowly came out ahead of Play Booster Displays in terms of GMV, and Cool but Rude led the singles.
