TEKKEN 8 Joins The Fight With UniVersus

TEKKEN 8 is back in the fight with a new UniVersus booster set, releasing on August 14, 2026 with prereleases beginning August 7.
TEKKEN 8 made its first UniVersus appearance in North America on November 8, 2024 with Jin & Jun Kazama Clash Decks and since then fans of the legendary fighting game have been demanding more.
UniVersus previewed a first look of TEKKEN 8 at the Evolution Championship Series in Las Vegas on June 25-28, where fans picked up exclusive EVO-stamped promo cards only available at the event.
Booster Details
This set introduces 185 new cards, with 14 playable TEKKEN 8 characters designed to reflect their signature fighting styles. Whether you enjoy relentless aggression, technical combos, or calculated counterattacks, every character offers a unique approach to the game.
The new release also introduces Heat Tokens, inspired by TEKKEN 8’s aggressive gameplay, which allows players to extend attacks and deal chip damage when their rivals block. Alongside the new Heat mechanic comes Arena cards, a brand new card type based on iconic TEKKEN stages that adds another layer of strategy to every match.
TEKKEN 8 will include 5 character cards featuring serialized Chrome variants, with two versions of each card. One version features a striking gold background with full-color character art, while the other showcases a monochrome finish complete with a stamped autograph from TEKKEN series producer Katsuhiro Harada. Both treatments are designed with custom original artwork created exclusively for the set.
Additionally, with 14 alternate-art character cards, and 25 alternate-art Rare and Ultra Rare cards, this release is well positioned to drive player and collector interest.
