Price Trends: Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Climbing in Price - 12/16/2025

We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that have dramatically increased in Market Price in the past 30 days.

(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least five sales between November 15 and December 14, 2025.)

Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $10 or less.

Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards $10 or Less

#5 Gem-Knight Nepyrim

  • Set: Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem
  • Increase: +$7.88
  • Current Market Price: $14.24

Sales of Gem-Knight Nepyrim picked up after Anthony Xu managed to make Top 32 at YCS Pittsburgh on November 9 with a Gem-Knight deck. With Mulcharmy Fuwalos taking a price dive after being reprinted in the Legendary 5D’s: Box Set, every Main Deck card in this budget-friendly strategy is now under $15—a fact which may explain why more players are trying Gem-Knights out and causing Nepyrim to rise. It also helps that Gem-Knight Nepyrim is a Secret Rare that’s only been printed in one set.

#4 Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Quarter Century Stampede
  • Increase: +$8.22
  • Current Market Price: $10.65

On December 1, players learned that the Train series would be getting new support in the upcoming Japanese set Blazing Dominion, which is expected to release in English on May 8. In the wake of that announcement, sales of this Quarter Century Secret Rare Train card took off like… some sort of rail-based conveyance for overland travel… and higher prices followed immediately after.

#3 Fairy Tail - Luna (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection
  • Increase: +$9.83
  • Current Market Price: $11.31

Also coming in Blazing Dominion is the game’s first direct support for the Fairy Tail archetype. Fairy Tail cards were introduced back in The Dark Illusion (2016), but before now they’ve never had any cards that directly referenced the “Fairy Tail” part of their name. The existing cards in this archetype have all been reprinted multiple times, so only the QCSR versions have seen significant movement from this new demand.

#2 Vanquish Soul Jiaolong

  • Set: Age of Overlord
  • Increase: +$9.97
  • Current Market Price: $13.85

Players have been running the Vanquish Soul archetype alongside K9 to great successes like Sabit Zada’s 1st place finish at the North America Remote Duel YCS in December. So far Jiaolong has seen more movement than Hollie Sue, but they’re both Ultra Rares that have only been printed in one set, so Hollie Sue might be due.

#1 Queen of Thorns

  • Set: Crossroads of Chaos
  • Increase: +$9.99
  • Current Market Price: $18.47

Queen of Thorns pairs perfectly with all the Plant-Type Monsters in the Akiza deck from the Legendary 5D’s: Box Set that just released in November. The 5D’s Box Set has caused many cards to move in the past month as players have had fun revisiting the 5D’s decks that come with the product’s real draw: one copy of each of the Mulcharmy cards.

Next, these are the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $10.

Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards Over $10

#5 Diabellstar the Black Witch (New Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Quarter Century Stampede
  • Increase: +$18.47
  • Current Market Price: $71.02

This one’s honestly a mystery. Sales of this particular version of Diabellstar the Black Witch (and not the other QCSR version with the card’s original art) spiked on November 28, setting off a gradual price climb. Normally that would read to me like a buyout, but the average number of copies per buyer that day was just 1.6—slightly elevated compared to the 1.0 the previous day, but not high enough to confirm a buyout.

This might have been a small buyout by multiple parties at once, but I’m not sure what persuaded them all to go in on a card that’s been dropping steadily since June.

#4 Shooting Majestic Star Dragon

  • Set: Dawn of Majesty
  • Increase: +$19.50
  • Current Market Price: $33.33

Shooting Majestic Star Dragon goes with the Yusei deck from the Legendary 5D’s: Box Set, just like Queen of Thorns goes with the Akiza deck.

#3 Blue-Eyes White Dragon

  • Set: OTS Tournament Pack 28
  • Increase: +$20.07
  • Current Market Price: $116.58

This hard-to-find version of BEWG has been topping sales charts for months, but it’s also been dropping in price most of that time as more copies have been pulled from OP packs. Now that OTS Tournament Pack 29 has entered circulation, Pack 28 is becoming scarcer and BEWG is rebounding.

#2 Granguignol the Dusk Dragon (Starlight Rare)

  • Set: Photon Hypernova
  • Increase: +$21.22
  • Current Market Price: $217.46

Sales of this Starlight Rare have continued to be sluggish, but they’ve picked up enough to move Granguignol’s price due to players wanting to max-rarity their Branded decks after the release of THE CHRONICLES DECK: The Fallen & The Virtuous in October.

#1 Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon (Starlight Rare)

  • Set: Photon Hypernova
  • Increase: +$23.39
  • Current Market Price: $423.87

It’s the same story with this high-rarity version of Mirrorjade the Iceblade Dragon, which was also reprinted in the Branded preconstructed deck. At time of writing, the card’s price has stalled out around $420, but that’s still a significant climb from the $190 it was at in April.
