Price Trends: Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Climbing in Price - 1/13/2026
By Peter Day •
We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that have dramatically increased in Market Price in the past 30 days.
(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least ten sales between December 13, 2025 and January 11, 2026.)
Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $10 or less.
Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards $10 or Less
#5 Zoroa, the Magistus of Flame
- Set: Genesis Impact
- Increase: +$7.02
- Current Market Price: $16.00
Over in the OCG, some creative deckbuilders have been finding success mixing the Spellcasters of the Magistus engine with Dracotail and Branded cards for a Fusion/Synchro deck that can play all the boss monsters. A key piece of the deck has been Spenta, the Magistus Sealer, a new searcher for the Magistus engine that’s only available in the OCG for now.
Zoroa first spiked back in September when Spenta was first revealed, and now that the card’s winning tournaments, Zoroa has spiked again. Expect a third spike if and when Spenta comes to the TCG.
#4 Crowley, the Gifted Magistus
- Set: Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem
- Increase: +$8.42
- Current Market Price: $17.58
Another Magistus card, Crowley also gets better with Spenta in the format and has appeared in the same decks as Zoroa.
On December 30, speculators bought enough copies of Crowley, the Gifted Magistus to send the average number of copies per buyer for the day soaring to 27.0. Its price spiked soon after.
- Set: Dark Saviors
- Increase: +$9.05
- Current Market Price: $10.85
This card’s runaway price doesn’t seem to be connected to anything besides its age. Dhampir Vampire Sheridan isn’t being played in any big decks, doesn’t seem to have synergy with any new cards, and hasn’t even seen a significant bump in sales recently. There just aren’t many Near Mint 1st Edition copies left from the 2018 set Dark Saviors.
The reprint from 2019 Gold Sarcophagus Tin Mega Pack is still under $1, so players who don’t care about getting the original version have an alternative. But if you own copies of this Secret Rare from 2018, now’s the time to track them down.
- Set: Hidden Arsenal 7: Knight of Stars
- Increase: +$9.71
- Current Market Price: $10.93
Earlier this month, a new card called Clown Crew Biancaviso was revealed for the upcoming Clown Clan archetype debuting in Blazing Dominion (which releases on Jan 24 in Japan, and on May 8 in North America). Biancaviso gets stronger the more kinds of Monsters you tribute to summon him, a restriction that has reminded players of Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth. If a deck can get good value from Biancaviso, that same deck may be able to straight-up win the game with Sophia.
So on January 8th, speculators picked up enough copies of Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth to spike the average number of copies per buyer to 9.5. The card has never been competitive, but its effect reads like an alternate win condition, so if Duelists ever figure out how to reliably get a Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monster on the field at once, we can assume Sophia will become popular overnight.
#1 Armades, Keeper of Boundaries
- Set: 2014 Mega-Tins Mega Pack
- Increase: +$12.84
- Current Market Price: $18.97
Rhett James Morgan Mutchler placed 2nd at the Goodlettsville October 2025 Regional with a Yummy deck featuring a tech copy of Armades in October. Since then, the card’s price has been on a rollercoaster. While Armades hasn’t exactly become meta, its last printing was over a decade ago, so players who want to experiment with it in their extra deck don’t have many options. It’s a seller’s market for Armades.
Next, these are the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $10.
Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards Over $10
#5 Radiant Typhoon Chant (Starlight Rare)
- Set: Doom of Dimensions
- Increase: +$18.00
- Current Market Price: $52.66
This Starlight Rare dropped in price soon after Doom of Dimensions released in September 2025, but it started rebounding in December as the demand for this card outpaced its unimpressive competitive results. Time and again we’ve learned that the most popular Yu-Gi-Oh! cards trade on nostalgia—in this case, nostalgia for a classic spell card from the days when Yu-Gi-Oh! was a lot simpler. Even the base-rarity version of Radiant Typhoon Chant has spiked recently from $3.50 to $7.
#4 Dark Magician Girl the Magician's Apprentice (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Alliance Insight
- Increase: +$23.19
- Current Market Price: $157.50
The top chase card of Alliance Insight has spiked as listings have naturally dried up on the marketplace. At time of writing, there are no Near Mint copies left for less than $240.
#3 Dragon Master Magia (Platinum Secret Rare)
- Set: Quarter Century Stampede
- Increase: +$24.45
- Current Market Price: $70.40
One of the most expensive cards from Quarter Century Stampede, the Platinum Secret Rare version of Dragon Master Magia is spiking for the same reason as Dark Magician Girl the Magician's Apprentice. Sales have remained modest but steady since September, but the low-cost listings on the marketplace have simply run out.
#2 Sky Striker Ace = Zero (Starlight Rare)
- Set: Duelist's Advance
- Increase: +$26.22
- Current Market Price: $179.93
It’s the same story with Sky Striker Ace = Zero, though the inflection point is clearer. Black Friday brought a surge of sales for this Duelist’s Advance chase card, which wiped out the listings under $150. It’s been rising ever since.
#1 Medius the Pure (Starlight Rare)
- Set: Duelist's Advance
- Increase: +$35.47
- Current Market Price: $111.38
Finally, Medius the Pure spiked hard on January 1 when a day of modest sales cleaned out the remaining listings under $100. Now, the lowest listing is over $150.
