Price Trends: Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Climbing in Price - 09/16/2025

We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that have dramatically increased in Market Price in the past 30 days.

(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least five sales between August 16 and September 14, 2025.)

Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $10 or less.

Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards $10 or Less

#5 Heavy Polymerization

  • Set: 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Mirrors
  • Increase: +$11.68
  • Current Market Price: $16.16

The price of Heavy Polymerization spiked back in May when it was revealed that the Lunalight archetype would be getting more support in the July set Duelist’s Advance. Its price then fell when Lunalight failed to make much of an impression in the competitive metagame, but its fortunes changed again in the wake of Tom Kleinegräber’s 2nd place finish at the 2025 World Championship with a Lunalight deck running three copies of Heavy Polymerization.

#4 Snake-Eye Ash (UTR)

  • Set: OTS Tournament Pack 25
  • Increase: +$12.73
  • Current Market Price: $19.25

With Snake-Eye Ash and Snake-Eyes Poplar becoming Unlimited (from Semi-Limited) in the most recent F&L List update, and Snake-Eyes Diabellstar being reprinted in 2025 Mega-Pack Tin, many players are suddenly buying into the Snake-Eye engine.

#3 Snake-Eyes Doomed Dragon

  • Set: Supreme Darkness
  • Increase: +$12.75
  • Current Market Price: $19.35

This Snake-Eyes boss monster is spiking for the same reasons as Snake-Eye Ash.

#2 Crowley, the Gifted Magistus

  • Set: Battles of Legend: Monster Mayhem
  • Increase: +$19.46
  • Current Market Price: $21.39

Sales of Crowley, the Gifted Magistus spiked hard on August 25, causing a delayed price spike that unfolded over the following week, and which set the stage for an even more dramatic spike this past weekend as the Marketplace abruptly ran out of copies for under $10.

It’s not obvious why this Magistus card became so popular on August 25, but it may have been due to an unexpected top performance by a Dracotail Magistus deck the previous weekend.

#1 Linkuriboh (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Quarter Century Stampede
  • Increase: +$29.93
  • Current Market Price: $36.04

Linkuriboh was unbanned during the recent F&L List changes, which meant its Quarter Century Secret Rare version was suddenly desirable to players instead of just collectors.

Next, these are the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $10.

Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards Over $10

#5 Branded Fusion (UTR)

  • Set: OTS Tournament Pack 22
  • Increase: +$17.53
  • Current Market Price: $43.90

The Ultimate Rare version of Branded Fusion spiked predictably on September 12 when the new F&L list was announced and players learned it would be Semi-Limited instead of Limited as of Monday the 15th.

#4 Blazing Cartesia, the Virtuous (New Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Quarter Century Stampede
  • Increase: +$17.63
  • Current Market Price: $88.03

This version of Blazing Cartesia has been fluctuating wildly since it was released in April, but both it and its base-rarity version started spiking in early August as players tried it out with the new Dracotail engine. On August 17, Jesse Kotton piloted a Dracotail deck with Blazing Cartesia in it to a Top 8 finish at YCS Vancouver. While the base-rarity version corrected back down soon after, this alternate-art version has kept rising in response to that win.

#3 Mitsurugi Ritual

  • Set: Supreme Darkness
  • Increase: +$18.58
  • Current Market Price: $29.04

Mitsurugi Ritual spiked after the F&L List update due to Mitsurugi not being directly hit by any of the changes.

#2 Lubellion the Searing Dragon (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge
  • Increase: +$19.45
  • Current Market Price: $168.50

This Quarter Century Secret Rare has been picking up value every week since April, and its recent gains don’t appear to have been prompted by anything special—though Branded Fusion going from Limited to Semi-Limited probably doesn’t hurt.

#1 Dominus Purge (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: The Infinite Forbidden
  • Increase: +$19.65
  • Current Market Price: $159.85

QCSR Dominus Purge picked up some value too, as this and all other Quarter Century Secret Rares have become harder to find. The base-rarity version of Dominus Purge actually dropped during the last month because Dominus Purge was reprinted in 2025 Mega-Pack, but the QCSR remains the version of choice for duelists of means.
