Price Trends: Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Climbing in Price - 08/19/2025
By Peter Day •
We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that have dramatically increased in Market Price in the past 30 days.
(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least five sales between July 19 and August 17, 2025.)
Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $10 or less.
Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards $10 or Less
#5 Shaddoll Dragon (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Quarter Century Stampede
- Increase: +$7.06
- Current Market Price: $13.69
Sales for the Quarter Century Secret Rare (QCSR) version of Shaddoll Dragon were slightly elevated in July and August compared to June, which was enough to send the Market Price of this rare printing spiking. The sales look “organic” in the sense that the vast majority of buyers were only picking up one copy apiece.
Interest in Shaddoll Dragon may be up thanks to Isaias Estrada III’s Top 4 finish at the North American WCQ in July with a Gem-Knight deck that included one-of copies of Shaddoll Dragon and Nehshaddoll Genius. Or players may be experimenting with Shaddoll cards in the decks built around the new Dracotail archetype from Justice Hunters, which is also based on Fusion Summoning Spellcasters.
There’s also a chance that Shaddoll will be one of the two as-yet-unnanounced themes in the upcoming Japanese set Terminal World 3.
#4 Metaltronus (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Quarter Century Stampede
- Increase: +$8.52
- Current Market Price: $17.42
Metaltronus is an extremely potent anti-meta card that occasionally sees play at major events. While the base-rarity version is extremely affordable at less than $1, the QCSR version has been worth double digits for most of its lifetime. While this version has dropped precipitously since it released in Quarter Century Stampede, it looks like low supply has finally caught up with it—possibly thanks to some low-volume buyouts earlier in the year, including when somebody bought 16 copies on June 17. It now appears to be stabilizing somewhere between its recent low and its release-weekend high.
#3 Satellarknight Deneb (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Quarter Century Stampede
- Increase: +$9.31
- Current Market Price: $11.59
Sales for all versions of Satellarknight Deneb spiked on July 27 after it was revealed that the Tellarknight + Constellar theme would be getting new support in the upcoming Japanese set Terminal World 3. As always, the QCSR version of this card is the scarcest, so it’s been the most sensitive to this spike in demand.
- Set: Ghosts From the Past
- Increase: +$9.61
- Current Market Price: $10.84
Sales of Nehshaddoll Genius went through the roof after Isaias Estrada III’s Top 4 finish at the North American WCQ in July with the Gem-Knight deck linked above that included one-of copies of Shaddoll Dragon and Nehshaddoll Genius. Those sales have remained elevated, whether due to players copying Estrada’s deck or because of Shaddoll’s synergy with the new Dracotail archetype.
#1 El Shaddoll Winda (Alternate Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Quarter Century Stampede
- Increase: +$9.82
- Current Market Price: $18.70
El Shaddoll Winda didn’t appear in Estrada’s Top 4-placing deck, but it’s not much of a stretch to include a copy in your extra deck if you want to put a twist on Estrada’s version. Whether for that reason, the Dracotail synergy, or speculation about Shaddolls being in Terminal World 3, sales for this QCSR have been just slightly higher than usual in the last month. And with QCSRs, that’s all it takes to send them spiking.
Next, these are the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $10.
Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards Over $10
#5 Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade (UTR)
- Set: Judgment of the Light
- Printing: Unlimited
- Increase: +$35.40
- Current Market Price: $103.71
The Yu-Gi-Oh community expected Number C104 to be a key Extra Deck monster in decks using the new K9 engine from Justice Hunters. Sales of this card rose in the lead-up to Justice Hunter’s release on August 1, and prices rose to match.
While the top K9 deck of YCS Vancouver didn’t include any copies of C104, several other high-performing lists did, so demand for C104 won’t cool off overnight.
#4 Songs of the Dominators (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Alliance Insight
- Printing: 1st Edition
- Increase: +$47.92
- Current Market Price: $132.97
Songs of the Dominators searches up another Dominus card that has been on the rise lately—and that also happens to be the next card on this list.
#3 Dominus Purge (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: The Infinite Forbidden
- Printing: 1st Edition
- Increase: +$55.56
- Current Market Price: $168.10
Dominus Purge and its counterpart Dominus Impulse each lock you out of activating the effects of monsters with specific Attributes for the rest of the game. Because they’re so restrictive, their prices seem to be sensitive to which Attributes are most common in the format.
For now, Dominus Impulse is down and Dominus Purge is up. The Yummy deck that Steven J. Trifunoski used to win YCS Vancouver included a full playset of Purge, and was mostly able to avoid its downsides, with only a few Dark, Water, and Fire monsters across the full 70. The QCSR version of Dominus Purge has gained the most from this meta shift, but even the base version is over $50 a copy now.
#2 Sky Striker Ace - Roze (Alternate Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)
- Set: Battles of Legend: Terminal Revenge
- Printing: 1st Edition
- Increase: +$68.25
- Current Market Price: $242.18
There haven’t been many sales of this card all year, but it’s kept creeping up in price regardless. These cards may be getting extra attention due to the Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game THE CHRONICLES mini-series. If so, be on the lookout for spikes in Dogmatika and Tri-Brigade QCSRs.
#1 Sky Striker Ace - Kagari (UTR)
- Set: OTS Tournament Pack 8
- Printing: Unlimited
- Increase: +$92.84
- Current Market Price: $213.86
The Sky Striker protagonist has been enjoying a year almost as good as her rival’s, with a similar (though more abrupt) spike on the back of a small number of sales.
