Price Trends: Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards Climbing in Price - 06/24/2025

We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that have dramatically increased in Market Price in the past 30 days.

(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least five sales between May 24 and June 22, 2025.)

Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $10 or less.

Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards $10 or Less

#5 Heavy Polymerization

  • Set: 25th Anniversary Tin: Dueling Mirrors
  • Increase: +$8.83
  • Current Market Price: $10.54

Heavy Polymerization has only been printed once, so it’s particularly sensitive to jumps in demand—like the one that hit on May 20, when a buyout sent the average number of copies per buyer rocketing up to 68.6. Smaller buyouts followed in the days and weeks after May 20, leading to a tipping point in mid-June when the Market Price more than doubled in three days.

Speculators appear to be betting that Heavy Polymerization will see heavy play once Duelist’s Advance drops on July 4. The new set contains support for the Lunalight archetype, which includes many Fusion Monsters that require three or more materials, like the new Lunalight Liger Dancer. In theory, these could be perfect targets for Heavy Polymerization if regular Polymerization and Lunalight Fusion don’t cut it.

#4 Vanquish Soul Jiaolong

  • Set: Age of Overlord
  • Increase: +$9.09
  • Current Market Price: $18.43

The Vanquish Soul archetype will also be getting new support in Duelist's Advance, so players started buying up this key Monster for the archetype back in late March when the new cards were revealed. By early June, Jiaolong’s price appeared to have stabilized around $8. Then on June 10, a buyout pushed the average number of copies per buyer up to 26.6, causing the price to spike again to just shy of $20 a few weeks later.

Jiaolong has only been printed once (outside of a Quarter Century Secret Rare version we’ll get to later), so it makes sense as a target for speculators. Fans who want to build around the new Vanquish Soul cards will almost certainly need three copies of Jiaolong to complete their decks. But if the archetype doesn’t catch on after Duelist’s Advance actually releases, we could see a quick reversal in this card’s fortunes. It was less than a dollar just a few months ago after all.

#3 Lunalight Fusion

  • Set: Legendary Duelists: Sisters of the Rose
  • Increase: +$9.26
  • Current Market Price: $14.86

Compared to the last two cards, the demand around Lunalight Fusion looks much more organic. The first spike in demand came when the Lunalight cards in Duelist’s Advance were revealed in April, and even then the average number of copies per buyer was just 2.3 (less than a playset per buyer). Since then, the copies per buyer has remained low, but persistent demand has raised Lunalight Fusion’s Market Price to nearly $15.

Players can opt for the less expensive version of Lunalight Fusion, which was printed in Legendary Duelists: Season 2 and is still less than $1.50 (though it’s also rising). But enough fans seem willing to pay more for the first and (so far) fanciest version of the card.

#2 Lunalight Sabre Dancer

  • Set: Legendary Duelists: Sisters of the Rose
  • Increase: +$9.36
  • Current Market Price: $16.88

Like Lunalight Fusion, Lunalight Sabre Dancer has a more affordable version that was printed in Legendary Duelists: Season 2, but that hasn’t stopped some fans from picking up the original version in anticipation of Duelist’s Advance.

#1 Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood (Alternate Art) (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Quarter Century Bonanza
  • Increase: +$10.77
  • Current Market Price: $19.48

A buyout on May 28 pushed the average number of copies of this card per buyer to 9.0, and its price rose sharply soon after. Note that this is one of two Quarter Century Secret Rare versions of Ghost Sister & Spooky Dogwood, which doesn’t violate Konami’s promise not to reprint cards at QCSR rarity because the two versions have different artwork.

Next, these are the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $10.

Top 5 Price Increases—YGO Cards Over $10

#5 Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade (UTR)

  • Set: Judgment of the Light
  • Increase: +$20.59
  • Current Market Price: $64.67

Over in Japan, players are already winning tournaments in the OCG using themes that we’ll get in the upcoming set Justice Hunters. One of those themes, K9, is based around Level 5 Monsters and Rank 5 XYZ Monsters, and has made summoning existing Rank 5 XYZ Monsters much easier. That’s caused many Rank 5 Monsters to grow in the past few months, including both versions of Number C104, which have been on a steep climb since March.

#4 Vanquish Soul Razen (CR)

  • Set: Wild Survivors
  • Increase: +$21.05
  • Current Market Price: $120.27

Razen is arguably more critical for Vanquish Soul than Jiaolong, so its climb in anticipation of the Vanquish Soul support in Duelist’s Advance was just as predictable. Interestingly, the lower-rarity versions of Razen have already dropped from the heights they reached in mid-May, while this Collector’s Rare version has merely slowed without stopping.

#3 Dark Magician (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Quarter Century Bonanza
  • Increase: +$24.92
  • Current Market Price: $86.15

A tiny buyout on June 6 (5.0 copies per buyer) prompted another spike in this Quarter Century Secret Rare, which had been growing steadily since January. Quarter Century Bonanza is the most successful Yu-Gi-Oh set of 2025 so far, so it’s not surprising to see the set’s biggest chase cards doing well.

#2 Mystical Space Typhoon (UTR)

  • Set: Astral Pack 8
  • Increase: +$28.45
  • Current Market Price: $132.66

This version of Mystical Space Typhoon sells so rarely that it only took a few days of mild buyouts (3.7 copies per buyer on May 31) to elevate its price. Astral Pack 8 was distributed through tournament locations back in 2015, so Near Mint copies of the cards from these packs aren’t easy to come by.

#1 Vanquish Soul Jiaolong (Quarter Century Secret Rare)

  • Set: Age of Overlord
  • Increase: +$30.72
  • Current Market Price: $153.28

Four Vanquish Soul cards have a Quarter Century Secret Rare printing, of which Vanquish Soul Jiaolong is currently the most valuable—likely because it’s also the oldest, having been released with Age of Overlord in 2023. The QCSR versions of Dr. Mad Love, Caesar Valius, and Pantera all rose in May, and may spike further as Quarter Century Stampede becomes harder to find.
