Price Trends: Magic: The Gathering Cards Climbing in Price - 08/24/2026
By Jason Coles •
We want you to have the best information available when you price cards on the TCGplayer Marketplace. So to help you get the most from your inventory, we’ve put together a downloadable CSV report of Magic: The Gathering cards that have dramatically increased in Market Price in the past 30 days.
(Note: This report only considers Near Mint copies of cards with at least ten sales between July 19 and August 20, 2026.)
Here are ten highlights from that report. First, we have the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price of $50 or less.
Top 5 Price Increases—MTG Cards $50 or Less
- Set: Secret Lair Drop Series
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$26.88
- Current Market Price: $32.02
With a massive 522.96% increase, this Princess Bride version of Battle of Wits is a real winner. We’d love to think it’s just because the film is so good, but it’s far more likely that it’s because of Whtz, the Bibliophile, a new Commander which lets you use as many cards as you want in your Commander deck, making this strange enchantment a genuine win condition in the format for the first time.
- Set: Secret Lair Drop Series
- Printing: Normal
- Increase: +$28.39
- Current Market Price: $46.79
You probably know who Hatsune Miku is, as the Vocaloid popstar is in nearly everything at this point. Her Magic Secret Lair has been doing very well, and while it’s mostly affordable staples, that hasn’t stopped this version of the green powerhouse draw spell Harmonize from going up by 154.29%
- Set: Secret Lair Drop Series
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$31.80
- Current Market Price: $65.30
Yet another Hatsune Miku entry, this Elvish Mystic went up by 94.93%. It’s a rare pink-haired version of the pop star, but we’re pretty sure it’s selling well because it’s Miku. The elf synergies in The Hobbit aren’t going to hurt though.
#2 Harmonize (1596) (Rainbow Foil)
- Set: Secret Lair Drop Series
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$52.84
- Current Market Price: $80.69
This is the Rainbow Foil version of the Miku Harmonize, and it’s gone up by 189.73%.
- Set: Secret Lair Drop Series
- Printing: Normal
- Increase: +$54.22
- Current Market Price: $81.96
Hatsune Miku is a force to be reckoned with, and takes this spot thanks to a 195.46% increase on the Command Tower featuring her. This is pure collector goodness, and while Command Tower is always a good card, the breakout versions of it are solely because of the art on them.
Next, these are the five cards that gained the most value in the past 30 days after starting with a Market Price over $50.
Top 5 Price Increases—MTG Cards Over $50
#5 Mana Vault
- Set: Masterpiece Series: Kaladesh Inventions
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$170.58
- Current Market Price: $1,029.39
While not as popular as it once was, there’s no denying the appeal of Mana Vault as a good collector’s piece, especially the Masterpiece version from Kaladesh. This one has seen a 19.86% increase, fueled by not only the beautiful foil treatment, but also the lovely art as well.
#4 Intuition
- Set: Judge Promos
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$207.15
- Current Market Price: $1,770.97
Every time we see a new graveyard Commander, Intuition gets a little peak. This time around it’s likely due to Thranduil, the Elvenking, which wants you to put elves into your graveyard. This version is the fanciest of them all, and has seen a very respectable 13.25% increase.
#3 The Soul Stone (Borderless)
- Set: Marvel’s Spider-Man
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$231.87
- Current Market Price: $1,835.84
It’s fair to say that The Soul Stone is the biggest hit from Marvel’s Spider-Man, and while this isn’t the most expensive version of this card, it’s still a heavy-hitter. It’s seen a 14.46% increase over the last period, and that’s only likely to continue with it being such a potent card.
#2 Smothering Tithe (Anime Borderless) (Confetti Foil)
- Set: Wilds of Eldraine: Enchanting Tales
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$368.80
- Current Market Price: $1,471.27
Smothering Tithe is a staple, and has been for some time. This particular version is doing very well at the moment, with an impressive 33.45% increase. The art really captures the feeling of playing the card, and the villainous “oh ho ho” laugh you should be aiming for when asking if someone will pay two mana to avoid you gaining treasure tokens.
- Set: Avatar: The Last Airbender
- Printing: Foil
- Increase: +$437.82
- Current Market Price: $4,270.46
Avatar Aang remains one of the best ways to put all of your Avatar cards in one singular Commander deck, but it’s very likely that this particular printing is going up purely as a collector’s item, rather than because of the card itself. The 11.42% increase isn’t as large as the others on this list, but the starting price makes it an impressive boost nevertheless.
