List These Products Before Pokémon Day 2026

February 27, 2026 will mark the 30th Anniversary of the original Pokémon video games! The Pokémon Company has already kicked off the festivities with a Super Bowl ad designed to engage current and lapsed fans during this milestone year. TCGplayer will be celebrating Pokémon Day 2026 with featured products, content, a chance to win a sponsored game night, and other surprises between February 17 and 27.

To help you make the most out of Pokémon Day 2026, we’ve compiled a list of sealed products we expect to be the focus of fans’ attention during the next few weeks.

30th Anniversary Products

Unsurprisingly, we’ll be advertising this product in the lead up to the day it was specifically designed to celebrate.

Older Anniversary Products

Products from older anniversary sets tend to spike in value during major anniversary years. For example, Generations Elite Trainer Boxes grew from $160 to a high of $760 between October 2020 and November 2021, as Pokémon was celebrating its 25th anniversary. Those ETBs then sank to $650, and didn’t reach that all-time high again until May of 2025. Now, with the 30th Anniversary year upon us, they’re over $2,000 per box.

Simply put, the best time to sell old anniversary products is during other major anniversary years.

Base Set Products

Products from Pokémon’s original set all tend to spike during major anniversary years, for the same reason as anniversary products. When less-engaged fans are reminded of the Pokémon TCG, they seek out cards and sets that first drew them into the game. For most fans, that’s still Base Set.

We’re unlikely to feature these products in ads due to their limited supply on the marketplace. But that low supply does present big opportunities for sellers who can capitalize on it.

Popular Set Products


To cater to more engaged Pokémon collectors, we plan to promote products from these well-loved sets during the leadup to Pokémon Day as well.

Note that Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Boxes will release on February 20, 2026, making that the effective release date for Ascended Heroes for many fans.

Series Base Set Products

Similar to anniversary sets, base sets for each Series in the Pokémon TCG act like a time capsule for the game’s development, and tend to become more valuable whenever a new Series begins. For example, Booster Boxes for XY Base Set sold for over $4,000 for the first time in October 2025, at the start of the Mega Evolution Series.

We plan to promote booster boxes of these Base Sets during the leadup to Pokémon Day.

Perfect Order Products

Finally, we also expect the leadup to Pokémon Day to be an important presale period for the upcoming Pokémon set Perfect Order, which releases on March 27, 2026.
