Magic: The Gathering’s most shiny cards, especially its rares and mythics, tend to get the lionshare of attention. Buylists get stuffed with the rarest cards that can be found in packs, but it’s a terribly bad habit to ignore the lower rarity cards. In fact, there are a very healthy number of commons and uncommons worth $1 or more, and you’ll find that their value adds up very quickly.

Future Sight was a unique experiment in Magic’s history, looking at a number of potential “future” designs, including early examples of alternative card frames. It was comparatively successful when placed alongside more modern experimental sets, and by and large features some memorable designs and staple game pieces.

With the enduring popularity of the future sight frame and some of the fun designs in the set, it shouldn’t surprise you that the set has managed to hold value for collectors. Similarly, that value has persisted into every rarity, meaning you’ll find some solid money hiding among the commons and uncommons. Here are all the commons and uncommons currently valued at $1 or more from Future Sight:

  1. Chronomantic Escape
  2. Dryad Arbor
  3. Street Wraith
  4. Mystic Speculation
  5. Tolaria West
  6. Fleshwrither
  7. Dakmor Salvage
  8. Nacatl War-Pride
  9. Narcomoeba
  10. Reality Strobe
  11. Delay
  12. Utopia Mycon
  13. Stronghold Rats
  14. Aven Mindcensor

In addition to these fourteen cards, there are a number of other cards in the set that are constantly threatening to break the $1 mark, including many other cards that feature the beloved future sight frame. Future Sight is still a set you can safely bank your future on, even if it’s now in the distant past.

Anyone can sell these cards on TCGplayer. All you need to do is list your inventory! For your convenience, we’ve also included a downloadable CSV of the valuable commons and uncommons we’ve covered so far.
