Transitioning Our Authentication Operations: Stay Up-To-Date

On May 22, 2025, we notified Direct and Store Your Products sellers that we are moving our authentication operations from Syracuse, New York, to Louisville, Kentucky. We’re confident this transition will equip us with the infrastructure, resources and geographic positioning we need to improve your customer experience, and deliver quality and efficiency at scale and speed.
As you can imagine, moving our operation is a major undertaking. Our priority is to do it as quickly as possible while minimizing any impact to your business. For the most part, we have been able to accomplish this, but we wanted to make you aware of four things:
- For two days (June 16 and June 17), all Magic: The Gathering singles (except Final Fantasy) will be unavailable through TCGplayer Direct.
- Why: Magic: The Gathering constitutes the highest number of cards in our facility. We looked at many options for moving, and turning off the front end for two days is the best way to minimize longer term backlogs. Final Fantasy will be moved on its own with no impact to availability.
- What this means for you: We recommend evaluating your Magic: The Gathering sales strategy –– since all Magic cards (except Final Fantasy) will be ineligible for Direct during these dates, we suggest reviewing the pricing on your inventory and/or your ability to fulfill Marketplace orders that would ordinarily be sold through Direct.
- Through this transition we will be prioritizing availability of Preferred Direct RI inventory. Preferred Direct RI inventory is primarily cards with a Market Price of $3+. As a result, Direct eligible inventory selection may be temporarily limited, especially at lower prices, as we transition.
- Why: This prioritizes the cards in Direct that make up a majority of sales. We’ll do our best to get as many Standard RI cards shelved as quickly as possible, but our priority will be the Preferred RIs.
- What this means for you: We recommend evaluating the strategy for your inventory listed below $3. Cards below that price point may have a higher likelihood of becoming regular Marketplace orders while we complete the transition.
- All RIs generated on and after MONDAY, JUNE 23 must be shipped to the following addresses, based on the respective RI profile:
- Preferred Lane RIs:
TCGplayer RI - PRF
4500 Commerce Crossings Dr
Louisville, KY 40229 - Standard Lane RIs:
TCGplayer RI - STD
4500 Commerce Crossings Dr
Louisville, KY 40229
Please ensure your shipping software and any saved addresses are updated with the new PO boxes to avoid any issues.
- Preferred Lane RIs:
- Store Your Products (SYP): As we transition our operations to Kentucky, you may notice a slowdown with SYP processing and uploads. Starting Tuesday, June 18, processing of new SYP inventory will be temporarily paused through June 30 and may experience some delays until we are fully operational in Kentucky. We expect normal operations to resume in July, but we ask for your patience during this period.
Starting 6/23/25, all SYP shipments must be shipped to:
TCGplayer SYP
4500 Commerce Crossings Dr
Louisville, KY 40229 -
Starting June 20, 2025, all Pokémon singles will be temporarily unavailable for purchase through TCGplayer Direct. Any outstanding Reimburse Invoices (RIs) must still be shipped to TCGplayer. We’ll notify you as soon as Direct fulfillment for Pokémon singles becomes available again.
-
Why: This change is a necessary part of our operational move. Temporarily removing availability in Direct is the most efficient way to complete the transition while minimizing long-term disruptions.
- What this means for you: We recommend evaluating your Pokémon sales strategy. Since all Pokémon singles will be ineligible for Direct starting today, we suggest reviewing the pricing on your inventory and/or your ability to fulfill Marketplace orders that would ordinarily be sold through Direct.

We’re confident this transition will equip us with the infrastructure, resources and geographic positioning we need to improve your customer experience, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to make this transition as smooth as possible.
