How to Accelerate to Level 4
We’ve worked with our team of experts to compile a list of tips and tricks to help you speedrun through the TCGplayer seller levels.
1. Join Our Growth Acceleration Program (GAP)!
You can sign up for our free Growth Acceleration Program (GAP) to work with a dedicated Growth Advisor through a series of 6 meetings. You’ll be provided with valuable resources, guidance from an industry expert, and support, all tailored to your business and optimizing growth.
2. Competitive Pricing
Pricing competitively is key to standing out in a crowded marketplace. Monitoring market trends and comparing prices can be overwhelming, but we make it easy with our Price Differential Report. This report compares your prices to the Lowest Listing and Market Price metrics using real-time data. Check out Price Differential Report - Comparing Your Prices for more information. If you’re looking for help understanding how to price competitively, enroll in our free Growth Acceleration Program to learn more!
On the TCGplayer Seller Blog, we also have a series of articles focused on pricing trends. These articles are published weekly and provide insight into recent pricing trends for different product lines.
3. Listing Diversely
While it’s easier to list multiples of the same item, having diversity in your listings will help attract a wider range of buyers and increase your opportunities to make a sale. Mixing in different sets and rarities will also improve your chances of appearing in the Cart Optimizer, which allows buyers to compare listings before checkout.
4. Listing High Demand Cards
Keeping diversity in mind, you also want to make sure you’re listing cards that will sell fast. If you don’t want to monitor the market to see what cards are popular, we recommend checking out our In Demand Understocked articles on the TCGplayer Seller Blog. These articles are published every other week and provide you with a list of cards from different product lines that are currently in high demand and understocked on the TCGplayer Marketplace.
5. Optimizing Storage & Organization
Optimizing your storage and staying organized is one of the most effective ways to ensure your process remains efficient and scalable as you work towards Level 4. Cards need to be stored in a dry, temperature controlled space. As an example, TCGplayer utilizes metal archival cabinets, with 4-row boxes inserted into the drawers of the cabinets. Foam squares are utilized to ensure the cards are secure when opening the cabinet.
Inside the cabinets, our products are first sectioned by trading card game (i.e. Magic or Pokémon), then divided by condition (Near Mint → Moderately Played), then by set (reverse release order, newest sets first), then by individual cards in alphabetical order.
This is one way to store and organize your cards. For more information check out, Inside TCGplayer's Authentication Center: Best Practices on Storage and Fulfillment.
6. Providing Exceptional Customer Service
It can be time-consuming to respond to customers on top of everything you already have to do to run your business. But providing excellent customer service, and obtaining a high feedback rating, is key to moving up through the TCGplayer Seller Levels.
Fine-tune your shipping process –– not only do you want to ensure you’re sending the correct items, but you want to be confident those items reach their destination safely by properly packing each order. Check out our Shipping Guidelines for more information.
Customer service doesn’t stop once the package has been received. For more information, you can check out our help files on Resolving Issues. We also teamed up with Darcy Leach from Mind Sculpt Games to provide you with a couple prewritten responses –– Check out Order Issues and Prewritten Responses: Consistency & Speed!
