Choosing which sealed products to invest in is an important decision for your business. The right products can yield big returns for your business in just a few transactions, but the wrong products can be a serious burden on your cash flow.

To help you pick the right products more often, we compiled a report of the top selling sealed products on TCGplayer last month. This report will show you which sets are most popular with players and collectors right now, so you can anticipate which products will be easy to sell online.

The report lists the top 100 sealed TCG products by total GMV between July 1 and July 31, 2024. Below, we’ve highlighted five of those products. These products were chosen by starting from the top of the overall list and going down, taking the top product of each game that hadn’t been highlighted yet. The five products are ordered below according to their overall rank in the full report.

#1 Bloomburrow - Play Booster Display

Game: Magic: The Gathering.
Set: Bloomburrow.
Released: August 2, 2024.
Average Product Value: $134.34.

With preorders alone, Bloomburrow has managed to block Modern Horizons 3 from taking the top spot for a third month in a row. Given that MH3 is still on track to be the bestselling TCG release of the entire year, that speaks to the hype around this set. Bloomburrow marks a dramatic shift in Magic’s tone from the gnarly spellpunk roots that produced villains like the Phyrexians, toward a style of fantasy that’s just as bombastic but more appealing to a general audience. To paraphrase Emma Partlow, it feels like a Universes Beyond set, Magic fans are here for it. Bloomburrow is looking like the most popular Standard-legal Magic set since Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.

#2 Awakening of the New Era - Booster Box

Game: One Piece Card Game.
Set: Awakening of the New Era.
Released: December 8, 2023.
Average Product Value: $155.29.

One Piece Card Game publisher Bandai appears to have sent out a second wave of product for Awakening of the New Era in July. This influx of supply resulted in Booster Boxes dropping almost $80 in price, down from $230 at the start of the month. One Piece fans took the opportunity to buy the set in droves, and Awakening of the New Era Booster Boxes outsold boxes of more recent One Piece sets like Wings of the Captain and 500 Years in the Future (both of which are also still selling well). The set contains the most expensive One Piece card in the entire game, Gear 5 Manga Monkey.D.Luffy, and with a Market Price of over $3K, you can understand why fans are excited for this reprint.

#3 The Infinite Forbidden Booster Box [1st Edition]

Game: Yu-Gi-Oh!
Set: The Infinite Forbidden.
Released: July 19, 2024.
Average Product Value: $79.70.

In addition to giving the iconic fan-favorite Exodia theme a much-needed overhaul, The Infinite Forbidden also introduced the Fiendsmith theme to the TCG, a set of cards so consistent and powerful that they appeared in seven of the Top 8 decks at the North America World Championship Qualifier. Fiendsmith is the deck to beat (or join) in Yu-Gi-Oh right now, which means The Infinite Forbidden is the most important set for Yu-Gi-Oh players who want to compete.

#4 Shadows of the Galaxy - Booster Display

Game: Star Wars: Unlimited
Set: Shadows of the Galaxy.
Released: July 12, 2024.

Average Product Value: $147.66.

Set 2 of Star Wars: Unlimited arrived with a bang, even if that bang wasn’t quite as explosive as Set 1. SWU publisher Fantasy Flight Games approached this release very cautiously after Spark of Rebellion sold through in its first month, so many sellers were allocated for Shadows of the Galaxy, and fans had a hard time securing preorders. Now, a month after its release, the Market Price of Shadows of the Galaxy Booster Displays has dropped back to around MSRP as fans have found the set’s Legendary cards a bit more situational than the bombs in Set 1.

#5 Twilight Masquerade Booster Box

Game: Pokémon TCG.
Set: Twilight Masquerade.
Released: May 24, 2024.
Average Product Value: $113.09.

With no new releases in July and relatively weak presales for Shrouded Fable (which released on August 2), Twilight Masquerade remained the bestselling Pokémon set in July. Booster box prices rose in July as the top chase cards of the set, including Special Illustration Rare Greninja ex, have managed to maintain or build on their already high prices thanks to the set’s pull rates being less generous than previous Scarlet & Violet sets. Greninja ex in particular is approaching the $300 mark, so unless that changes, expect demand to be high for Twilight Masquerade products as Pokémon fans chase down this elusive ninja.
