With the release of Throne of Eldraine right around the corner, we’ve created a comprehensive breakdown of each of the variants and printings for all cards associated with this set. We’ll cover some frequently asked questions about Throne of Eldraine, then go through all the cards in numerical order.

Q: How do I know which cards are Brawl deck or Planeswalker deck exclusive if they’re all in one set?

A: All cards numbered above 269 have a variant drop percentage (showcase/borderless) or are exclusive to certain products. Specifically for the Brawl and Planeswalker decks, you’ll find the exclusives numbered 304–333.

Q: Why aren’t promo pack cards entered under the set that the card is from? (Example: Why isn’t the promo pack-stamped Gigantosaurus in Core Set 2019?)

A: In an effort to reduce confusion in where customers and players can find this item organically, we’ve decided to enter these promo printings according to the product in which they were first available. In this case, you cannot get a promo pack-stamped Gigantosaurus in any Core Set 2019 product, only from the Promo Pack: Core Set 2020, so that is where we entered it.

Q: What about promo pack-stamped cards that are on both Promo Pack: Core Set 2020’s and Promo Pack: Throne of Eldraine’s curated lists?

A: These will also be organized into the locations where the cards first appeared. If Gigantosaurus is on the curated list for promo pack-stamped cards for Promo Pack: Throne of Eldraine, it will only appear in Promo Pack: Core Set 2020.

    • Planeswalker symbol foil-stamped
    • Variant treatments will NOT be in promo packs
  • One stamped rare/mythic from a curated list (<121 total)
    • There will be overlap with the Core Set 2020 curated list. Because of this overlap, we will only be adding the NEW promos to a set called Promo Pack: Throne of Eldraine. This is because the cards are sorted into sets based on where the card could FIRST be located. As there is no difference between the versions that are in BOTH Promo Pack: Core Set 2020 and Promo Pack: Throne of Eldraine, inventorying the items where they FIRST appear helps keep new items more orderly.
  • One FNM-treatment card from a curated list (five total numbered 393–397)
  • One Arena Promo card granting an in-game pack (Regional; Where Arena is not available, Promo Pack: Throne of Eldraine will be three cards.)

In order to make Throne of Eldraine a bit easier to navigate and price, we’ve created two importable CSV files—one featuring ONLY the main set items that you can pull from any booster box and another featuring ONLY the exclusives and rarer cards so you can more easily input your inventory properly.

Please note: Due to issues with Wizards of the Coast’s Retailer Agreement, the Buy-A-Box Promo will not be listed until closer to release day.
