Spring has just arrived, and it’s bringing some exciting new set releases! To help you make the most of this upcoming season, we’ve compiled a list of the most anticipated Q3 products for the top 5 trading card games on TCGplayer!
Without further ado, here are the top 5 Most Anticipated Releases for Q3, 2023!
This is the next main set release for Magic: The Gathering, following the culmination of the Invasion of Phyrexia. This set features the popular fairytale-based plane of Eldraine, and releases September 8.
While not much is known about Wilds of Eldraine as of yet, we can expect a reprisal of the bewitching storybook artwork from Throne of Eldraine’s showcase variants, as well as innovative card mechanics exploring the so-called “wilds” beyond the kingdom’s borders.
The next main booster for Yu-Gi-Oh! releases in the global market on July 28! Duelist Nexus introduces the new Illusion monsters to the competitive duel scene: these monsters cannot be removed from battle, and some can even take control of your rival’s monsters through battle.
Players can also look forward to new Infernoble and Dinosaur cards, as well as the first-ever release of the Quarter Century Secret Rare in a main booster set. Up to 25 cards in this 100 card set can be Quarter Century Secret Rare!
The next stage of the Scarlet & Violet series, Obsidian Flames will be the first booster to include type-shifting Tera Pokemon ex cards to the Pokémon TCG! These Tera ex Pokémon will feature different types, such as a Darkness type Charizard ex and a Lightning type Tyranitar ex.
Avid Pokemon collectors can anticipate even more high-value cards with stunning Full Art foiling, including 12 Illustration Rares with unique artwork, and 3 hyper rare gold-etched cards! Scarlet & Violet: Obsidian Flames releases August 11.
With a speculative release date of September 22, Kingdoms of Intrigue highlights two of the most popular arcs from the One Piece manga series: Alabasta and Dressrosa. Both of these noble kingdoms hold a history of corruption by powerful Warlords of the Sea, and culminate in epic battles between powerful pirates and the Strawhat crew.
Kingdoms of Intrigue will also feature new themed Alternate Art cards, which are all unified under a single theme! These rare high-value cards will be highly coveted by both collectors and avid One Piece fans.
This next expansion for Flesh & Blood is just around the corner! Dusk till Dawn will be releasing July 14 and marks the continuation of the Rathe saga following the events of the previous Monarch set.
To celebrate the 10th set milestone, publisher Legend Story Studios will be printing serialized cards featuring hand-drawn artist sketches of Prism, Sculptor of Arc Light and Chane, Bound by Shadow. These incredibly rare cards will be highly desirable among collectors, as only a limited number will be printed as part of this unique release.
