Spring has just arrived, and it’s bringing some exciting new set releases! To help you make the most of this upcoming season, we’ve compiled a list of the most anticipated Q2 products for the top 5 trading card games on TCGplayer!
Magic: The Gathering - March of the Machine
Serving as a culmination of the Phyrexian arc, March of the Machine is expected to be the largest Magic: The Gathering set to date in terms of card volume, card variant treatments, and included game mechanics.
This product will include the return of Planechase in Commander Decks Boxes, with 5 returning and 5 complete brand-new Planechase cards! In addition to being able to pull card variants with border treatments from previous sets, players can also look forward to the supplemental Multiverse Legends set, featuring reprints of iconic cards in new border treatments to match their home plane!
Yu-Gi-Oh! - Cyberstorm Access
This upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! release includes 100 cards that are jam-packed with new monsters to strengthen duelist’s Cyberse Link decks! Apart from the hype link-6 evolution for Firewall Dragon, this set will include new Tellarknight, Chaos, Code Talker, and Cyber monster themed-cards!
We envision this release to receive a lot of attention from duelists in preparation for the upcoming Championship season, as it supports many competitive game strategies!
Pokémon - Scarlet & Violet Base Set
We had previously discussed the debut of Generation 9 on the Pokémon TCG as their most anticipated release this year. Now that more information is available prior to launch, there’s even more for players and collectors to get excited about!
In addition to the return of the ex mechanic, some Pokémon introduced with this generation will also feature the newest ability from the Paldea region: Terastallizing! Pokémon with this ability can Terastallize to prevent damage while on the Bench during gameplay, something that competitive players may find incredibly useful when building their decks!
Digimon Card Game - Across Time
This next booster release for Digimon Card Game will highlight new Digimon card types and Option cards based on the third and final season of Digimon Xros Wars.
This set will include two Secret Rares with low pull rates, each printed with two breathtaking Alternate Art forms for players to collect! Each booster box purchase also comes with a Limited Card Set Pack as a second box topper!
One Piece Card Game - Pillars of Strength
Pillars of Strength will be a big release for One Piece Card Game players, featuring cards with characters from Water 7, East Blue and the Big Mom Pirates!
Along with including Yellow color cards with brand new strategies, Pillars of Strength will be introducing a new Alternate Art card type with new “WANTED” poster artwork! Long time One Piece fans will be sure to collect them all!
