In a continued partnership, TCGplayer and The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have partnered for the third consecutive year to sponsor the GAMA Horizons Fellowship. This fellowship aims to support emerging tabletop game publishers, creators, and retail store owners from historically underrepresented backgrounds. As part of the initiative, participants receive access to grants and resources, while also getting connected with mentors in the industry to help grow their business.

TCGplayer will provide support to retailer fellows and mentors, including a new Chromebook, Quicklist scanner, TCGplayer apparel, and two resource guides. Retailer fellows also have the opportunity to receive one-on-one coaching with a member of the TCGplayer Seller Growth and Success team as part of the Growth Acceleration Program, along with discounted Pro by TCGplayer fees for six months. Pro gives sellers access to TCGplayer’s retail solutions, including its In-Store Kiosk, Pro Website, and MassPrice tools.

At the conclusion of the Fellowship, one publisher and one retailer are selected to each receive an additional $5,000 grant to help create, maintain, and grow their business. This year’s retailer winner is Oddwillow’s Game Haven, a family-run tabletop game store located in Mukwonago, Wisconsin. Jen Oven and her husband Ben co-own the LGS, while her sister Robyn Ranari is the General Manager. Their focus is on ADA compliance and creating a welcoming space for underrepresented communities in gaming. As part of the fellowship, Oddwillow’s Game Haven is now enrolled in the TCGplayer Growth Acceleration Program, focused on growing their business.

TCGplayer is committed to ensuring local hobby and brick-and-mortar stores have the resources and tools necessary to manage and grow their business. Not only that, but we believe that gaming is a Community For All.
