TCGplayer Catalog Highlights of 2023!

With 2023 coming to an end and the new year just around the corner, TCGplayer is excited to celebrate some of the turning points in our catalog this year! We’ll be looking back at some of the best-selling sets for each of our top 10 card games, and also put a spotlight on one of the many new games we’ve launched on the Marketplace this year as a rising star.
2023 was another big year for the TCGplayer catalog, especially for sales on our top TCGs! Here’s a few of the best-selling set releases for the top 10 card games currently available on TCGplayer. If you have any of these in your inventory, consider listing them to increase sales, as hobbyists are quick to add these to their cart.
- Magic: The Gathering - The Lost Caverns of Ixalan
The long-awaited return to Ixalan is chock-full of powerful dinosaurs and valuable treasures for players to add to their decks! Additionally, The Lost Caverns of Ixalan also features the new crossover mini-set, Universes Beyond: Jurassic World Collection with exclusive borderless cards, and the first ever iteration of the Special Guest reprints featuring classic cards from Magic’s history. - Pokémon - Scarlet & Violet: 151
One of the top-selling sets released currently for the Scarlet & Violet TCG series, Scarlet & Violet: 151 revisits the first generation of 151 Pokémon with new iconic artwork and updated gameplay mechanics. The set also includes highly collectible Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards introduced with the Scarlet & Violet Base set, each with stunning extended artwork that makes them highly sought after for Pokémon fans! - Yu-Gi-Oh! - 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection
The highly-anticipated 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection features 79 player-favorite cards available in unique foil rarities, including two new card rarities which were previously not available in English: Prismatic Ultimate Rares and Prismatic Collector’s Rares. Resurgence Booster is the first RB Booster set released for Digimon Card Game, and includes a total of 36 exclusive cards and 87 reprints of fan-favorite cards, now with new foiling and even some cards that have never before been released in English! Resurgence Booster also introduces Textured Foil cards, with Super Rares, Secret Rares, and Alternate Art exclusive cards printed with this new foil style! - Flesh and Blood TCG - Bright Lights
Flesh and Blood TCG’s tech-themed booster set is especially geared to power up the Mechanologist hero class, with brand new game mechanics such as EVO equipment and boost cards and! Bright Lights also introduces an Expansion Slot in their boosters, where players can find popular card reprints and additional support cards for hero classes that aren’t highlighted as part of this release. - Dragon Ball Super - Perfect Combination
The next Zenkai Series booster release to include Special Release tournament cards, Perfect Combination predominantly highlights the Future Trunks Saga, Saiyan Saga and Tournament of Power. Furthermore, this set introduced the highly collectible God Rare card with Ultra Instinct Son Goku, State of the Gods, the fifth God Rare to ever be released as part of the Dragon Ball Super card game. - Cardfight!! Vanguard - Evenfall Onslaught
Evenfall Onslaught focuses on providing support for the core nations of the Dragon Empire, Dark States, Brandt Gate, Keter Sanctuary, and Stoicheia, and stars Cardinal Mors, Orfist Masques. Additional high-value units for this set include the Bastion and Evil Eye, both working in synergy with the Masque cards featured in this release. Each pack comes with 2 chances for high-rarity cards! - Weiss Schwarz - Azur Lane
Weiss Schwarz’s most recent set release, Azur Lane, is a crossover set featuring characters from the mobile game of the same name, including 39 Special Rare and 4 Secret Rares cards with exclusive artwork! Each SP and SEC rarity card has a chance to come with special gold signatures from one of the original voice actors for the game, with every booster pack having a chance for at least one of these signed cards!
Rising Star TCG of 2023: Lorcana TCG
This year has seen incredible expansion for the TCGplayer catalog, with six new TCGs launching on Marketplace. We’d like to take the time to highlight the immense growth of Disney Lorcana as one of these new games: since its initial launch, it has become one of the top five highest-grossing games on the platform.
Disney Lorcana currently has two main booster sets available on the TCGplayer Marketplace, with the next installment, Into the Inklands, releasing February 23, 2024. Presale for these products will be available on Marketplace soon, but in the meantime we encourage you to list other Disney Lorcana products, as they are selling fast this holiday season!
