Syracuse, NY is famous for its salt potatoes, college basketball and soon—the dragon soaring above the new TCGplayer headquarters in Downtown Syracuse. Scheduled to open this fall, the space will accommodate our growing team while establishing a clear vision for the local tech community in Downtown Syracuse.
Our new headquarters is designed to inspire current and future teams, while spilling our quirky workplace culture into the community. Anyone walking down Warren Street will be able to look inside and experience the magic themselves. They’ll see a medieval castle with a mighty dragon overhead and employees working inside themed rooms influenced by some of our favorite realms. It will spark curiosity in young people and encourage them to explore careers in technology so they can work somewhere as fun and inspiring as TCGplayer.
With more than 44,000 sq. ft. of space, this new headquarters will allow us to continue growing our team right here in Central New York. Four years ago, we moved into our first office in Downtown Syracuse with only 14 employees. We now have over 230 team members—over 16x the number we started with—and we plan to reinvigorate Syracuse by adding nearly 170 more new jobs.
Our five year goal is to surpass 1,000 employees by May 2023.
Our headquarters will encourage people to live, work and play right here in Downtown Syracuse. It will draw attention not just to TCGplayer, but to other technology companies in the area, transforming Syracuse into a nationally recognized tech hub. Many of our new openings will be high-tech jobs, keeping talented professionals in Central New York.
