TCGplayer Hires 400th Employee, Doubles Down on Retailer Focus

TCGplayer continues to make progress against its aggressive roadmap for 2021, announcing today that the company has expanded its workforce to more than 400 employees, including the addition of several key executives with a proven track record of connecting small businesses to global markets. TCGplayer is committed to furthering its investments in its people, products and technology so that it can continue to scale its operations and build great seller tools to better support local gaming stores.

The Company has already launched a POS plug-in solution into beta for Shopify & Square that will enable local retailers to seamlessly connect their Kiosks with POS solutions of choice. The beta includes UI and speed improvements of existing popular products like MassPrice and Kiosk. The retailer growth team overseeing these efforts include:

  • Chief Product Officer, Christian Keane – a seasoned technology industry veteran and former Director of North America B2B at Alibaba Group, who has more than 20 years of experience growing startups and tech companies, including helping more than 100,000 small businesses achieve billions of dollars in sales.
  • Chief Marketing Officer, Aman Devgan – former Chief Marketing Officer of Upserve POS, now Lightspeed, who brings to TCGplayer more than two decades of experience leading product and marketing teams in high growth tech companies serving small businesses.
  • Senior Director of Products, Greg Battle - an experienced technology leader who previously was the Chief Product Officer for fintech and SaaS company LASO that used A.I. and automation to facilitate loans to small businesses.
  • Product Manager for Retailers, Vince Scalabrino – former owner of retail shop, Tokens & Tankards: An Arcade and Tabletop Game Pub, who brings to TCGplayer his firsthand experience with the limited technology options available to local gaming stores and the skills to solve them.
