TCGplayer and Legend Story Studios Award $100,000 to Local Hobby Stores in Second Direct-to-Consumer Campaign

SYRACUSE, N.Y., November 18, 2021 – TCGplayer, the leading technology platform for the collectibles industry and operator of the largest online marketplace for trading card games, today announced that it awarded a total of $100,000 to local hobby stores in partnership with Legend Story Studios, the creators of the Flesh and Blood TCG. This marks the successful completion of TCGplayer and Legend Story Studio’s Tales of Aria themed direct-to-consumer campaign designed for the benefit of local hobby stores.

“I am honored to once again partner with Legend Story Studios in a direct-to-consumer campaign that connects our local hobby store partners to product sales, keeping them at the center of our industry,” said Chedy Hampson, founder and CEO of TCGplayer. “Due to the campaign’s success, we’re able to award even more money to these local retailers, offering $100,000 to participating stores while bringing to fans limited-edition and exclusive Flesh and Blood products. TCGplayer is committed to ensuring local hobby and brick-and-mortar stores have the resources and tools necessary to run successful businesses and we look forward to continuing to work with James and the team at Legend Story Studios to create more campaigns like this one.”

“Supporting the local game store community and creating space for players to connect is vital to our mission, and why we are thrilled to work with TCGplayer on a campaign that allows us to do just that,” said James White, founder & CEO of Legend Story Studios. “I am blown away by what our partnership with TCGplayer has been able to accomplish and thrilled to award $100,000 to retailers — even more than our last direct-to-consumer campaign. We’re excited to build on our partnership with TCGplayer and create more opportunities for local game stores, players and fans.”

As previously announced in September, TCGplayer and Legend Story Studios created the TCGplayer Tales of Aria Collector’s Bundle, which comprised first-edition, limited edition and exclusive Flesh and Blood products available only on TCGplayer’s marketplace. In connection with the campaign, TCGplayer facilitated the bundle’s marketing, listing, fulfillment, shipping and customer service on behalf of Legend Story Studios, guaranteeing local hobby stores were directly connected to each sale.
