Scott Elliott Joins TCGplayer.com as Vice President of Sales

Syracuse, NY, October 4, 2017  TCGplayer.com today announced that Scott Elliott, VP of Business Development at Gen Con LLC, the largest tabletop show in the U.S. with attendance of over 200,000 players, will join the company as Vice President of Sales and a member of the executive team.

In his new role, Scott will help drive the growth of TCGplayer Pro, a full-service eCommerce solution for independent brick and mortar hobby gaming retailers. Since its launch in March, more than 1,000 retailers nationwide have signed up with over 500 stores exclusively using the platform.

“I am thrilled that Scott is joining our team,” said Chedy Hampson, Founder and CEO of TCGplayer.com. “Not only did Scott lead Gen Con’s team through a period of unprecedented growth and record-breaking attendance over the past eight years—he also played a key role at Upper Deck, the premier worldwide sports and entertainment collectibles company, developing game sales for national retailers like Best Buy and launching an international tournament series that took place in thousands of locations with a large global team of event organizers. Scott is a long-time champion of hobby gaming and a well-regarded partner to businesses in every part of our industry, from publishers to distributors and independent stores across the country.”

“I’m excited to help the TCGplayer team build solid support structures that will empower businesses to grow and become more successful,” said Scott. “The TCGplayer network’s strength comes from the grassroots: the players, store owners and employees who invest their time and financial resources in the development of communities. Chedy has assembled an incredible group of people who care about their customers, and I am privileged to become part of the team.”

In addition to his industry experience and successes with Upper Deck and Gen Con LLC, Scott is the CEO of Jade Dragon Studios, a family-owned design company, with experience in marketing, live event production and game design. Their first game, DragonStone Mine, was successfully funded on Kickstarter and shipped in 2016.
