Knight of Fury, Agravain

Knight of Fury, Agravain

Knight of Fury, Agravain’s ability to superior call units in battle to continue the onslaught against the opponent is definitely not to be trifled with.

When it attacks, with 1 counterblast and by putting all of your rear-guards into your soul as cost, you can look at the same number of cards from the top of your deck, and call as many as you like. Accumulate 12 cards in your soul and you can use it to restrict your opponent to calling only normal units for the rest of the fight!

Arboros Dragon, Sephirot

As long as Arboros Dragon, Sephirot is on the field, all Plant Tokens that you call become "Strengthened Plant Tokens." Unlike the regular Plant Tokens, a Strengthened Plant Token has 10000 power, 10000 shield, and both Boost and Intercept!

Running this unit in battle allows you to maintain hand size and reduce the need to call regular units to the field. Meanwhile, you can use the Strengthened Plant Tokens to pressure your opponent. In addition, by retiring a rear-guard as cost, up to two Plant Tokens can be called to field, and this unit gets +10000 power if you have five or more rear-guards.

Holy Great Sage of Black Shadows, Isabelle

Holy Great Sage of Black Shadows, Isabelle

The Mysterious Fortune introduces a relatively new game mechanic: units like Holy Great Sage of Black Shadows, Isabelle incorporate lottery effects into their abilities.

At the cost of a soul blast, you can activate its on-place ability of putting the top card of your deck into the drop zone. Depending on that card’s type, you can either obtain +15000 power or put that card into your hand.

However, if your opponent’s vanguard is a Grade 3 or greater, you get to enjoy both effects instead! Re-ride or call this unit as a rear-guard to increase your hand size and get a power up.
