The epic battle of the millennium begins on July 15th. Human vs God, which side will emerge victorious?

Title Trial Deck and Title Booster 02 “Record of Ragnarok” are our latest collaboration sets with the popular animation series, “Record of Ragnarok.” “Ragnarok” refers to a tournament consisting of one-on-one showdowns to the death between thirteen fighters each representing the gods and the humans respectively. Whichever side that reaches seven victories first will be declared the winner. If the gods win, humanity will face extinction but if humanity's champions win, mankind can exist for another 1,000 years.

Brunhilde, The Valkyrie That Heralds Ragnarok

First up, let’s take a look at the key figure behind Ragnarok, Brunhilde! She is the eldest of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters, a group of Norse demigoddesses tasked with guiding human souls to Valhalla. All Valkyries are capable of performing Völundr, which allows them to unite their souls with the soul of a chosen human fighter, transforming them into divine weapons most suited for its wielder and granting the human fighters immense power!

The following cards can be found in Title Trial Deck 02!

“Brunhilde,” “The Choice for Victory, Brunhilde,” “Watching for an Opportunity, Brunhilde,” and “Man’s Survival at Stake, Brunhilde”

Brunhilde is a very versatile Valkyrie that can cooperate with any <Man> unit. While there is an option to select your preferred human fighter as part of your Ride Line (which will be covered later in this article), a Brunhilde-only Ride Line is also something not to be taken lightly of!

The strategic yet opportunistic Brunhilde has been vital for humanity’s battle against the gods and this is also reflected in this Ride Line. Starting out, you can build your hand and manipulate your deck; if you drew a grade 2 or less <Man> or <Valkyrie> normal unit card, be sure to put that card on top, so that you can easily call it to your field when you ride into grade 2! As you progress into grade 3, you can search your deck to superior call more of such allies to fill up your field! When your opponent’s vanguard is at grade 3 or greater, power up two <Man> or <Valkyrie> units and power-up your team’s offense!

Fighters for Humanity

All cards featured from here on can be found in Title Booster 02! If you intend to build Man trait decks from the Title Booster, be sure to grab a set of the Title Trial Deck too to complete your Ride Line with cards like “Brunhilde,” and “The Choice for Victory, Brunhilde”!

Lü Bu
First up representing the Humans, we have Lü Bu!

Most Powerful Chinese Hero, Lü Bu
A prominent warlord from Ancient China during the Three Kingdoms period, Lü Bu is considered to be the "Strongest Warrior in History" by many!

His fearless and bloodthirsty characteristics are also reflected in his card’s abilities; as a vanguard, even when faced against a formidable opposing vanguard of the same grade or higher, he does not back down and battles all opponents head on! Use his second ability wisely to turn your attack into a finishing move!

Fourth Valkyrie Sister, Randgriz

Randgriz, the fourth of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters, is the best match for Lü Bu in breaking limits and putting up stronger fights!

Randgriz's name means "Shield Breaker," and when she performs Völundr with Lü Bu, the latter receives a power up and receives the ability to weaken your opponent's defenses even if they call grade 0 units to guard against your attacks!

Adam

Next up representing the Humans, we have Adam!

Father of All Mankind, Adam
Created to resemble the Gods, Adam is the first Human to ever exist and the forefather of Humanity.

Adam’s selflessness and determination to protect Humanity drives him to push his limits. As long as you have him as your vanguard, all rear-guards get a power up! Power in numbers comes into play when Adam launches his attack, so be sure to fill up your field before then for a more impactful swing!

Seventh Valkyrie Sister, Reginleif
Adam’s great desire to protect Humanity comes with great responsibility, and Reginleif, the seventh of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters, is here to help him fulfill this!

Reginleif's Völundr with Adam allows you to gain hand size, while protecting Adam from incoming enemy attacks regardless of how powerful they are by allowing him to “copy” their power level! This in turn also means that you will require less resources to guard when this effect is in play!

Kojiro Sasaki
Last but not least, we have Kojiro Sasaki representing the Humans!

History’s Strongest Loser, Kojiro Sasaki
Hailing from feudal Japan, we have Kojiro Sasaki, known as "History's Strongest Loser”!

Being the “Strongest” and a “Loser” may sound contradictory, but Kojiro Sasaki’s sheer diligence and fighting spirit can prove this wrong! Every battle is a learning experience to him; as he encounters various opponents over time, he becomes more powerful and ultimately reaches his full potential with an additional critical!

Second Valkyrie Sister, Hrist
In Kojiro Sasaki’s continuous pursuit of excellence in swordsmanship, Hrist, the second of the thirteen Valkyrie sisters, will be there to help him realize it!

Her Völundr with Kojiro Sasaki not only bestows Power upon your front row allies, it grants Kojiro Sasaki another chance to swing if his initial attack does not hit!

Fighters for the Gods

Thor

First up representing the Gods, we have Thor!

Berserker of Thunder, Thor
Be prepared, as the “Berserker of Thunder” from Norse mythology shall deliver shockwaves across the battlefield!

Thor is a ruthless, bloodthirsty battle maniac who finds joy only when faced with a worthy opponent! You can weaken the enemy’s forces right away by retiring two of their rear-guards of your choice, and prepare for your next big attack by easily securing the key Thor order card to hand!

Legends Passed Down, Thor
This is a key order card exclusively for Thor that is absolutely essential to awaken his full potential!

With this, Thor not only gains immense Power (especially so if your opponent’s front row has already been annihilated), your opponent is also restricted from calling sentinels from hand, leaving them vulnerable to your vanguard’s attacks!

Zeus

Next up representing the Gods, we have Zeus!

God Father of the Cosmos, Zeus
Hailing from Greek mythology, we have the almighty God Father of the Cosmos, Zeus! He may look like a frail old man, but do not let his looks deceive you!

Station multiple Zeus units in your field to deliver a barrage of powerful blows! Similar to Thor, you can prepare for your next big attack by easily securing the key Zeus order card to hand!

Legends Passed Down, Zeus
This is a key order card exclusively for Zeus that is absolutely essential to awaken his full potential!

With this, Zeus’ punches become deadlier from the Power buffs and topped off with an additional critical! Station your entire front row with Zeus units to maximize this card’s benefit and hammer your opponents into oblivion!

Poseidon

Last but not least, we have Poseidon representing the Gods!

Tyrant of the Oceans, Poseidon
Also from Greek mythology, we have the menacing Tyrant of the Oceans, Poseidon! He has complete command over the ocean and is even powerful enough to be compared with the almighty Zeus, hence the title "Zeus of the Seas".

By harnessing the power of the ocean, he can “consume” one or more allies to obtain beneficial effects like a power buff and an additional drive! Similar to the other two above-mentioned God units, you can also prepare for your next big attack by easily securing the key Poseidon order card to hand!

Legends Passed Down, Poseidon
This is a key order card exclusively for Poseidon that is absolutely essential to awaken his full potential!

With this card, Poseidon can send powered-up waves of attacks onto his opponents! If you have used Poseidon’s second ability to retire allies, you can even make sure that your opponent’s side is not spared either!
